KITE FEST
For kids of all ages, come enjoy great weather and music at Holton’s Kite Fest. It’s a fun and safe way to spend the afternoon. This is a free program and participants are required to wear a mask. Participants will receive their own kite and will have an assigned area on the field to ensure a safe distance. There will be DPR staff on hand to provide kite flying tips and assist with mending kites that need a little help. Spots are limited so register today! EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Come celebrate Earth Day with us. Enjoy concerts and conservation talks from the comfort of your vehicle or bring your own chairs and sit directly in front of your vehicle in the marked space provided. Food trucks will be available so be sure to bring your appetite or feel free to pack your own picnic. Gates open one hour before event time. This is a free event, but preregistration is required. Reserve your parking spot today. Only one reservation is needed per car. We will be limiting each car to only 4 people so please plan accordingly. You must remain in your car or in the space provided in front of your car unless you are visiting a food truck or the restroom. When outside of your vehicle, masks are required. You are also free to bring up to 2 boxes of paper that will fit in a standard-sized trunk for shredding on your way into the event. If at any point it becomes unsafe to host or continue a program due to inclement weather, DPR will postpone or cancel the event. Most outdoor special events will occur rain or shine. In the case of extreme cold weather, threat or warning of a tornado or hurricane, or thunder and lightning storms, the event will be cancelled. A decision to close athletic fields or cancel games and practices will be made at 4:30 p.m. during the week and 7:30 a.m. on weekends.
