DURHAM GIRLS SOCCER LEAGUE

Durham Girls Soccer League is an instructional soccer league for girls ages 6-13. It is the league’s philosophy to provide an opportunity for all girls to participate on a soccer team regardless of ability. There will be one practice per week and matches will be on Saturdays. DPR-PAL TEEN BASKETBALL LEAGUE

The DPR-PAL Teen Basketball League is a free basketball league for teenagers ages 13-15 cosponsored by the Durham Parks and Recreation Department and the Durham Police Department. Players will be assigned to a team with a volunteer coach and will practice and compete with peers from June - August. Practices and games are on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Walltown or W.D. Hill Recreation Center gyms. All players must attend the pre-season assessment on Thursday, June 2 at W.D. Hill Recreation Center - Last names A-M: 6:15pm; last names N-Z: 7:30pm. INTRODUCTION TO PICKLEBALL

Interested in learning about Pickleball? If you are new to the sport or have just started playing and want some additional instruction in a fun and friendly atmosphere, then this Pickleball Clinic is for you! Players will participate in 1-hour sessions, meeting twice weekly for three weeks (six sessions). You will learn how to keep score, the rules of the game, and tips to improve your confidence on the court. Come out and learn why people of all ages are excited about the sport of Pickleball! PICKLEBALL SKILLS & DRILLS CLINIC

Are you ready to take your Pickleball game to the next level? This series of three clinics is designed to reinforce specific skills through repetition which players can apply to recreational, ladder, or tournament competition. Join us in this fun, friendly learning environment where four likeskilled players share the court for three separate 20-minute drills. Each drill is structured to teach and reinforce the proper technique for dinking, transitional shots, volleys, and more. Once drills are complete, players transition to 60 minutes of supervised game play to apply what they’ve learned in the drill sessions. Players should be available for all three dates in the session. Consider registering for a future skills & drills session if you are unable to attend all three sessions. The skills & drills clinics are taught by instructors with extensive experience in local, regional, and national sanctioned Pickleball tournaments. This clinic series is limited to 12 participants.
