BIKE RODEO
This program is a collaboration between DPR and Durham Police Department geared for youth to learn how to safely ride their bikes. Stations will be set up and instructed by Durham Police Department personnel on basic bike maintenance, how to properly brake, overall bike safety while riding your bike and fitting your helmet and bike properly for use. Participants are asked to bring their own bike. If a child does not have a bike, a used reconditioned bike from Durham Bicycle Cooperative will be provided for the youth to borrow at the rodeo. Each participant will receive a free helmet from NCDOT Bicycle and Pedestrian Division’s Helmet Initiative Program. Participants should wear closed-toed shoes and comfortable clothing. My Durham Teen Programming
"For Teens, Built by Teens,” that’s how we roll! Durham Parks and Recreation offers free, drop-in programming and activities Monday-Friday for all teens between the ages of 13 and 18 years old. From gardening, video game tournaments, and indoor hockey to park clean-ups, crafts and job readiness, we are providing a place for the teens in our community to have fun, hang out, and be active!

Durham Parks and Recreation Recreation Advisory Commission (RAC)
The RAC meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:30 a.m. at the Durham Parks and Recreation (DPR) administration office.
