JOIN THE DISTINGUISHED Scholars and Reformers Perhaps you are a future researcher obsessed with pinpointing cancer’s cure. Or a nomad, called to travel the world. You could be a visionary, eager to prove yourself through an internship other undergraduates only get to imagine. Whatever your story – you’re uncommonly passionate and driven. At DePauw, we understand every student brings something unique, which is why we bring such a deep-rooted commitment to help every graduate thrive. One hundred percent of our students graduate with hands-on learning experiences and 94% have a job, service or graduate school placement secured within six months of graduation. What’s more, students from across the nation choose our standout Honor Scholar and Fellows Programs, which make up 25% of DePauw’s overall student body. During four years, we work intentionally to connect students with distinct research experiences, internships and more than 45 study abroad programs. Here, you won’t just earn an education, you’ll live it.
I have always wanted to blend environmental science with political involvement, but DePauw is where my passion for social justice truly took root. Freshman year, I visited South Africa for my Life After Mandela class. I got to see firsthand the residual effects of apartheid. Since that trip, I’ve felt drawn to the opportunity to take the lead on campus – ensuring racial, gender and environmental equality is accessible to all. DePauw isn’t a place for privileged views and removed leadership – this is where students find themselves empowered. It’s where world changers are born.

PAINT THE TOWN Artists and Explorers A college is far more than a campus. The festivals, art shows, restaurants and culture of downtown Greencastle infuse life at DePauw with a distinct flavor all our own. From First Fridays to featured performers at Music on the Square, Greencastle feeds the curious minds of our students with experiences that will last a lifetime. It’s a college town through and through, where every part of you thrives. Visit and we’ll show you what we mean. DePauw has taught me not only how to think for myself, but also how to live. Cheers to you, Old DePauw!

Greencastle is known throughout the state for our vibrant music scene, but we are coming to be known for our city murals as well. I’m convinced there’s no better way to bring together a community like painting 500-square-feet of flowers on a wall. The uniqueness of our town is visible in every brushstroke.
