Our campus is designed for you.
Every amenity we offer and event we host is focused on you and every cocurricular and professionally-oriented center is dedicated to your success. From day one, you’ll have access to faculty and staff members who will be resources for all of your needs. They stand ready to guide you in learning about your new home.
Each first year student is placed into a first-year seminar, where your professor is also your advisor; they’ll help you orient to a college classroom so you can be your most confident self and take advantage of all of the facets of our distinctive liberal arts education.
Each student is placed into a group with a mentor leader; an upper class DePauw Tiger. These leaders help connect you to the social possibilities on campus and answer every question you have.
Small town life has its perks. With more land in protected nature preserves than any other in Indiana, Putnam County, where DePauw is located, is ideal for hikers, bikers, horseback riders, star gazers and plant lovers. The air is great out here, especially in our 520-acre nature park. You can walk from campus to downtown Greencastle, which offers local food and drink, boutique shopping, candy and ice cream shops, outdoor dining and First Friday concerts and celebrations. Enjoy the farmer’s market, the summer music festival and nightly live entertainment, and you’ll learn why we love our community.
