CAPITAL CITY CONNECTION:
TAKE THE NEXT STEP
The last leg in your journey to full Bulldoghood is to enroll. Go to drake.edu/admitted and log in using the instructions in the acceptance letter that came with this booklet. You can enroll, sign up for a meal plan, and choose your housing preferences—all in one spot.
Drake is woven into the heart of the thriving Des Moines metro. The city surprises with its diverse cultural, entertainment, and recreational opportunities, as well as abundant internship and job opportunities.
YOUR HOME AWAY FROM
With newfound independence comes a mixture of challenge and excitement. It’s something you’ll share with new friends from across the hall, country, and world. To help you build your Bulldog community quickly, we use your first-year seminar schedule to place you in residence halls with familiar faces.
Finally, you’ll have your own space. And it’ll have air conditioning, cable, and wireless internet! Every residence hall at Drake is a vibrant, inclusive place where you’ll learn a lot of life lessons—from doing your own laundry to adapting to life with a roommate.
Speaking of roommates, if you want to live with a first-year student you both must make a request when submitting your housing deposits. Simply log in to drake.edu/admitted and specify who you’d like your roommate to be. Similarly, if you need a roommate assignment, you need to specify that when making your housing deposit. Residence Life will match you with a fellow first-year in July 2024.
HOME
You won’t go hungry at Drake. We have it all in our recently remodeled dining hall, including vegan and gluten-free options. Plus, you can caffeinate at our full-menu Starbucks located in the heart of campus.
