The bar area prides itself on offering quality beers and lagers at fair prices, and is a lively destination for watching live football. Monday’s quiz night is a guaranteed packed-house, though don’t be alarmed if you find a labrador or cocker spaniel lying at your feet – the bar area is dog friendly, adding to The Eriskyne Bar’s homely feel.

The Ferry Inn 1 Clyde Street, Renfrew PA4 8SL T: 0141 885 9263 www.theferryinnrenfrew.co.uk In a building over three hundred years old, situated by the banks of the River Clyde beside the iconic Renfrew Ferry, The Ferry Inn provides the authentic experience of a Clydeside bar with a distinctly modern twist. The bar’s rustic interior provides a unique charm, with the warmth being provided by the roaring fireplace and welcoming staff, and upon your first visit it’s not difficult to see why The Ferry Inn was voted Renfrewshire’s Pub of the Year for 2013. An adjoining restaurant serves up homemade food every day until 9pm, and their private function suite caters for birthdays, christenings and others large gatherings.

Tartan Rose 2 Broomlands Street, Paisley PA1 2LR T: 0141 887 1800 Few bars can match the distinctive frontage afforded The Tartan Rose, which lies directly beneath the stunning clock tower on Paisley’s Broomlands Street.
