Program Officer One Active Citizenship for Accountable Governance (ACAG) Yangon and frequent travel to fields
Key Responsibilities: Assist Project Coordinator for smooth management of the project Regular coordination and support to partners and local rights programs for work plans, progress of the project and activity reports Review project activities implemented by partners and AAM team and provide detail information of progress and issues to Monitoring and Evaluation Officer Develop reports for activities implemented by project team Support the Project Coordinator in the development of donor reports and provide partners with the necessary capacity to report as per donor and AAM requirements Work closely with Training Officer for training related project activities Assist in facilitation of forums and workshops with various stakeholders including local/regional government officials, communities and civil society organizations Assist PC and project implementation team in forming and strengthening community organizations and coalitions Support in the various studies/research undertaken in the project Assist in development of IEC materials and training manuals Provide technical and other supports for governance related initiatives of fellows and community-based organizations at various levels Coordinate with necessary government departments at various levels for effective implementation of the project as well as support for engagement of fellows and communities to local government Cooperate with other AAM teams and project teams of governance program for program level initiatives Representation at relevant coordination meetings to gain wider understanding of current situation with regard to governance work and to share information/good project practices developed
Qualifications and skills required: Holds Bachelor or preferably master’s degree from a Recognized University A minimum of two years experience in similar field and practicing participatory approaches Good understanding on governance structure and system in Myanmar context Experience with partnership and willingness to work with youth, diverse ethnic community Good understanding of community empowerment and ability to work with rural communities.
