COLI Istanbul Delivered a 140mt Ship Loader from Hamriyah to Rotterdam
The transport project included pre-carriage, load-out, discharge and on-carriage of the ship loader plus assorted breakbulk cargo. The main unit – a 15,5 x 8 x 8,4 m ship loader – was initially surveyed by COLI’s local team of engineers in the UAE to make sure all hydraulics and steerings were in order. They also carried out a measurement study. After more than 2 months of preparation and engineering, COLI Istanbul successfully shipped out a second-hand ship loader and additional project cargo from the UAE to the Netherlands. In two days the cargoes were moved from a laydown area located near the Hamriyah Port and prepared for lifting and transport, including handling local customs clearance. The team then loaded the cargo onto trailers, transporting it to a carefully selected vessel. Upon arrival at Rotterdam terminal, the cargo was transshipped to a
barge to be delivered to the consignee’s terminal in Rotterdam. This last leg of the transport was also arranged by COLI. All units were successfully delivered in sound condition.
