Chairman’s Corner

Shipping Line Contacts from Breakbulk Americas

Dear Network Members, as you may know the container trades worldwide are standing in front of a major change in alliances. MSC/Maersk are divorcing and MSC will run a standalone service supported with 2 other groups whilst Maersk/Hapag will team up in an alliance called GEMINI. I asked Hapag in Houston last week does it mean they will become FORWARDER UNFRIENDLY like Maersk? and guy told me even they are not sure….because Hapag is kid brother in GEMINI. Again I remind you all NOT to book with Maersk if you can avoid. There are other choices if in doubt ask us!

Best regards, Bo

ULOG Transported Project Cargo from Brazil to Peru

This complex logistical challenge was meticulously managed by ULOG PERU, showcasing their ability to deliver high-quality service under demanding circumstances. The project involved several critical steps, beginning with a thorough surveyor service at the origin to ensure all cargo was correctly documented and prepared. ULOG PERU then coordinated the logistics services, starting with the pickup of cargo for consolidation into containers. The team expertly handled the transport from Santos port to Callao port, ensuring the safe arrival of all components. Upon reaching Callao port, ULOG PERU managed the traction of containers to a designated warehouse, where the cargo was carefully unloaded. The final phase involved the secure loading of packages into transport vehicles for delivery to the project site. This successful delivery highlights ULOG PERU’s exceptional ability to manage complex logistics with precision, showcasing their continued success in handling challenging projects.

The cargo was loaded onto a containerized vessel from Nhava Sheva, an accomplishment many thought was impossible. Shipping the cargo by container vessel was considered a particularly difficult task by many, who recommended a breakbulk option.

Ceekay Shipping delivered a solution in just two weeks.
