COLI COMPLETED A BREAKBULK PROJECT FROM ASCHERLEBEN (GERMANY) TO
THE PORT OF HAMBURG
TO THE PORT OF QINGDAO (CHINA)
COLI Logistics GmbH arranged for a shipment of drilling machinery for Germany to China. Picking up the project cargo in Ascherleben and loading it with other break bulk cargo (63 tons) by floating crane to the container vessel, COLI overcame several logistical challenges (i.e. changes in the delivery sequence).
In Hamburg they then arranged for the timely stuffing process and on time delivery to the special equipment export terminal, thus avoiding demurrage and/or detention for the customer. The vessel then left for Qingdao, where it will arrive soon.

Silvasti has been chosen as the Transport Crane Installation (TCI) contractor of Pahkakoski wind farm, to be constructed in the municipality of Ii in Northern Ostrobothnia of Finland.
The Pahkakoski wind farm will consist of 30 turbines, with a production capacity of 600 gigawatt-hours annually, making it one of the biggest in Finland. The construction phase of the project will start in 2024, and commercial operation is planned to begin in the summer of 2025.

Erhardt Projects Middle East has successfully completed the intricate shipment of port handling equipment, including a ship-loader and ship-unloader, from Jebel Ali, UAE, to Indonesia.

The Kamor Logistics Team provided full service, from ‘free-on-truck’ at vessel’s side at load-port to ‘freeon-board’ at destination, including a chartered-in General Cargo Coaster Vessel, pre-carriage formalities and arrangements. The team managed the loading, stowage in vessel’s hold and lashing at load port according to the preapproved plan.
Despite the stormy weather and rough seas, the rigorous lashing and securing methods ensured safe arrival at the destination, to clients full satisfaction.

Project One Logistics Successfully Managed the Direct Discharge of a Large Transformer at the Port of Houston
The full transport of the transformer had to be managed as Hurricane Beryl hit Texas. Despite the power outage that affected the region due to the destructive hurricane, the Project One team demonstrated its capability to handle time-sensitive projects.
The transformer, weighing 113,400 kilograms and measuring 10.50 meters in length, 4.05 meters in width, and 4.10 meters in height, required careful coordination for its safe discharge. Project One received the transformer before the hurricane and managed the rest of the operation during the week Hurricane Beryl hit the region. This was particularly challenging due to the power and internet outage, which forced them to work from their cars to avoid delays. Project One orchestrated the direct discharge from the vessel to a waiting truck, ensuring an efficient transfer of the 174.40 cubic meter unit.

The cargo was used for one of the biggest oil refineries at Turkey. The operation was based on on door to door terms so all process including cargo pick up, cargo handling at Dubai Al Maktoum Airport, loading, offloading at Istanbul Airport and delivery to the refinery was handled by QAS Charter.
QAS Charter used a B747-400F nose loader and AN-124’s. Most of the cargo was 14m long and 24 tons per piece.
This was very time critical operation. Due to floods in Dubai, the producer had some production issues but QAS managed to keep the cargo online for keeping oil production active. It took almost 2 months to plan everyting to start operation.

Complete Wind Turbines From China in Zarate, Argentina With Final Destination Bolivia
This project, one of the most ambitious in the Parana-Paraguay River, involved the discharge from ocean vessel, inland transportation, barge adaptation, and the loading on river barges, of over 100 components, including 10 nacelles weighing 138 tons, 40 towers up to 86 tons, 10 hubs of 44 tons, and 30 blades measuring 77 meters in length.

The equipment arrived in Poland from South Korea. Formag performed transshipment and sorting of cargo at a warehouse in Gdańsk.
Excavators and loaders were shipped disassembled in 14 containers: 11x40’FR + 3x40’HC, from Busan (South Korea) to Gdańsk (Poland).
Like any oversized cargo, this required a special approach and expertise. Thanks to their knowledge of Polish customs procedures, Formag were able to avoid additional costs for the client. They needed 12 trailers, dispatched in three rounds, to transport the cargo. It was a complex task.

The rotor weighed a solid 118 tons. The main challenge? The rotor was located 800 meters underground. Liburnia faced tight spatial limitations, with only about 80mm of clearance in the tunnel. Given its height and weight, the rotor couldn’t be laid down for transport, so Liburnia carefully cut the top and bottom shafts (each with a diameter of 900mm) before moving it upright on a Self-Propelled Modular Transporter (SPMT).

Nakama Worldwide & UTC Overseas Colombia to Move Equipment from Panama to Colombia for the expansion of the Port of Antioquia
This project, in collaboration with UTC Overseas, Inc. and client ABB Electrification involves three energy units and has been carried out under a door-to-door service, which includes:
• Loading
• Lashing
• Port Survey
The operation was completed successfully, and in the coming weeks, they will continue coordinating the remaining shipments.

COLI Delivered 8 sets of Transformers & Auxiliaries to Gydnia, Poland in a Single Shipment
The project involved more than 5 months of comprehensive logistics planning and engineering studies. This transport included four power transformers, each with a unit weight of 354 Mtons, and four shunt reactors with a unit weight of 135 Mtons each. The total project consisted of over +3250 Frt.
Logistics challenge
The initial challenge was related to the storage area constraint at the manufacturer’s factory. To overcome this issue, COLI’s Istanbul team provided a designated warehouse solution with suitable ground bearing capacity and route feasibility in order to ensure safe intermediate deliveries from the factory. The second challenge was getting the cargoes from the warehouse to the port of loading, which required precise coordination with road authorities and loadport management.
Permits and protocols
During the entire planning period, all necessary permit applications and road protocols were obtained and a thorough logistics plan was shared to successfully keep all involved parties on the same wavelength. Arranging the permit applications for this exceptional load transport was a complex project in itself - on top of the engineering studies, calculations and, of course, the transportations themselves.
Equipment
With, amongst others, 140 hydraulic axle lines, a girder bridge configuration, 20 SPMT axle lines, a 1,000 Mton capacity gantry crane, and +70 trailers being utilized throughout the project period, it was satisfying to see that all requirements were met (and all obstacles were overcome) to satisfaction, not in the least because of the professional collaboration between Coli’s team, the subcontractors and other stakeholders.
After safely arriving to port of loading and handling continuous vessel loading operations for four days , all cargoes were smoothly delivered to Gydnia, Poland.
