Riverside DREAM Monthly Snapshot October 2012 Program Happenings and Highlights • Mentors continue to go above and beyond DREAM Fridays by leading pumpkin carving, taking kids trick or treating, and hosting homework help outside of regular Friday programming • Mentors joined Elm Street and Birchwood mentors at the Alumni Phone-a-thon which successfully earned donations from 19 UVM alumni • Mentors volunteered at the Ben and Jerry’s factory directing traffic, picking up garbage, and scooping ice cream as a fundraiser for programming • Riverside DREAM welcomed 10 new mentors! Mentors and mentees made some delicious baked goods and sold them during UVM’s parents weekend earning $99.28 for programming Riverside DREAM joined Elm Street DREAM in hosting the annual chili cook-off which raised $222 for programming Veteran DREAM mentors showed new DREAMers around the Riverside community and introduced mentors to families Mentors and kids got lost at Sam Mazza’s corn maze
