Riverside DREAM Monthly Snapshot January 2012 Program Happenings and Highlights UVM students returned from break this month and began year 2012 of DREAM with plenty of fun on Fridays and in the snow! 112 Vermont DREAM mentors and mentees descended upon Camp DREAM this January for WAC—Winter Adventure Camp. 8-12 year olds from all Vermont DREAM programs travelled north to spend the day cross country skiing, playing broomball, snow shoeing, and bonding with their mentors. The day was a huge success! On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, DREAM teens from across Vermont gathered for a day of personal development. The teens attended a workshop on applying for jobs, and then planned a session that they will lead at our Teen Retreat in April! Riverside collaborated with Elm Street and Franklin Street DREAM mentors, also programs out of UVM, to begin the recruitment process for new mentors! New mentors are expected to begin in late February or early March! A wonderful new DREAM mentee joined the program this month, and is already bringing a wonderful positive energy to the program!

Weekly Programming with Children Riverside DREAMers spent their first Friday back together doing one-on-ones and catching up from the break! The Riverside DREAM Program celebrated its 6th year as a program together at a Riverside DREAM Birthday party!
