Northwoods DREAM Monthly Snapshot March 2013 Program Happenings and Highlights • For their end of term culminating experience Northwoods mentors and mentees joined the Hollow Drive Local Program at Lanes and Games in White River Junction, VT. Mentoring pairs celebrated the end of winter term with bowling, arcade games and pizza. • Northwoods was awarded a $250 grant from the Alumni Organization to help fund their culminating event this spring. Mentors will match the grant with fundraising efforts in the next two months. • Hannah Coleman will join Katie Gibson as co-chair for spring term. Weekly Programming with Children • •
There were no regular DREAM Fridays during March as mentors were in final exams and then on spring break. Northwoods mentors joined their Dartmouth DREAM peers for a start of term meeting on Friday, March 29. To prepare for the spring term mentors planned fundraisers, reviewed driving policies, and ate ice cream. Over 50 mentors joined the meeting.
