Northwoods DREAM Monthly Snapshot April 2013 Program Happenings and Highlights • Northwoods mentors held a community dinner for DREAM families on April 29. • One Northwoods youth attended DREAM’s Teen Identity Retreat in Burlington, VT on April 6-7. Teens participated in a scavenger hunt on Church Street, learned how to hula hoop, and participated in sessions on healthy relationships and finding their best selves. • Mentors held several fundraisers on-campus to help support their culminating experience scheduled for late May. • Two new youth were welcomed to the Northwoods Local Program. Weekly Programming with Children • •
Mentoring pairs spent four Fridays on Dartmouth’s campus participating in oneon-one and small group activities. On two different Fridays, youth helped their mentors bake cupcakes, cookies, and brownies for DREAM fundraisers.
