Northwoods​ ​DREAM​ ​Monthly​ ​Snapshot September​ ​2017

Program​ ​Happenings​ ​and​ ​Highlights ● This​ ​month​ ​the​ ​mentors​ ​returned​ ​to​ ​campus​ ​and​ ​mentee’s​ ​returned​ ​to​ ​their daily​ ​school​ ​routines. ● The​ ​mentors​ ​had​ ​an​ ​all​ ​mentor​ ​meeting​ ​to​ ​prepare​ ​for​ ​the​ ​year. ● During​ ​the​ ​month​ ​of​ ​September​ ​Two​ ​DREAM​ ​Friday’s​ ​occurred. ● The​ ​mentors​ ​held​ ​in​ ​info​ ​session​ ​on​ ​campus​ ​to​ ​recruit​ ​new​ ​mentors.

Weekly​ ​Programming​ ​with​ ​Children ● This​ ​month​ ​the​ ​youth​ ​had​ ​two​ ​DREAM​ ​Fridays: ○ One​ ​was​ ​held​ ​at​ ​the​ ​community​ ​so​ ​the​ ​mentors​ ​would​ ​be​ ​able​ ​to connect​ ​with​ ​the​ ​community​ ​as​ ​a​ ​whole.​ ​They​ ​Participated​ ​in​ ​outdoors sports​ ​activities ○ The​ ​second​ ​DREAM​ ​was​ ​held​ ​on​ ​campus​ ​where​ ​the​ ​mentors​ ​and​ ​youth participated​ ​in​ ​a​ ​Sport​ ​activities,​ ​some​ ​took​ ​a​ ​trip​ ​to​ ​quechee​ ​to​ ​visit​ ​the gorge,​ ​antique​ ​store​ ​and​ ​get​ ​cheese​ ​samples.​ ​At​ ​the​ ​end​ ​of​ ​the​ ​dream friday​ ​the​ ​mentors​ ​held​ ​a​ ​birthday​ ​party​ ​for​ ​all​ ​the​ ​september​ ​youth’s birthday.
