Program​ ​Happenings​ ​and​ ​Highlights ● Summer​ ​DREAM​ ​came​ ​to​ ​a​ ​close​ ​at​ ​the​ ​beginning​ ​of​ ​the​ ​month.​ ​The​ ​DREAM​ ​Office celebrated​ ​the​ ​summer​ ​members​ ​and​ ​staff​ ​who​ ​ran​ ​programming​ ​with​ ​a​ ​celebratory barbecue. ● After​ ​2​ ​years​ ​as​ ​a​ ​Program​ ​Empowerment​ ​Director,​ ​Julia​ ​Dillavou,​ ​has​ ​finished​ ​her service​ ​with​ ​DREAM.​ ​She​ ​plans​ ​to​ ​remain​ ​involved​ ​with​ ​DREAM​ ​youth​ ​while​ ​she applies​ ​to​ ​graduate​ ​school.​ ​Dakotah​ ​Patnode,​ ​our​ ​new​ ​Program​ ​Empowerment Director,​ ​will​ ​take​ ​over​ ​lead​ ​of​ ​the​ ​Johnson​ ​program​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Fall! ● Across​ ​DREAM’s​ ​3​ ​regions,​ ​12​ ​full​ ​time​ ​AmeriCorps​ ​members​ ​began​ ​their​ ​service in​ ​the​ ​DREAMCorps​ ​National​ ​Americorps​ ​Program​ ​on​ ​August​ ​22​nd​,​ ​including​ ​4​ ​new PEDs​ ​in​ ​Vermont! ● The​ ​mentors​ ​arrive​ ​back​ ​to​ ​campus​ ​in​ ​September,​ ​and​ ​will​ ​focus​ ​on​ ​mentor recruitment​ ​before​ ​re-starting​ ​DREAM​ ​Fridays​ ​as​ ​quite​ ​a​ ​few​ ​mentors graduated/had​ ​to​ ​leave​ ​the​ ​program​ ​after​ ​this​ ​past​ ​semester. ● Johnson​ ​DREAM​ ​welcomes​ ​Maddi​ ​Boyce​ ​to​ ​the​ ​role​ ​of​ ​mentor​ ​Co-Chair​ ​for​ ​the program!

Weekly​ ​Programming​ ​with​ ​Children​_______________________________________ ● DREAM​ ​was​ ​on​ ​hold​ ​this​ ​month​ ​as​ ​summer​ ​programming​ ​wrapped​ ​up​ ​at​ ​the​ ​end of​ ​July​ ​and​ ​we​ ​prepared​ ​for​ ​the​ ​school​ ​year​ ​to​ ​start.
