The places you’ve been & the places you dream of — all the places you’re connected to & the story that tells. That’s your Wanderlust. The Wanderlust is the strong desire to explore. I have to admit, I have been bitten by the bug and have spent the past 12 months on an epic impulsive adventures in the South East Asian region. As I explored my wanderlust in Tokyo, my mind is flooded with all the lessons learned. I admit my journey was self-indulgent. It was designed by me, for me (although I got to share it with lots of cool and amazing people along the way). But that was the purpose. I wanted to stretch myself, I wanted to explore and I wanted to gain new perspectives that would have a real impact on

both my personal and professional life. Exploring Tokyo’s bohemian enclaves and historical quarters and discovering its fascinating subcultures, quirky shops, hip cafes and sublime night-life was a myriad of unadulterated fascinating experiences.

tory travel. I wouldn’t trade my memories for anything - even those that are tragic or frightening. For me, the love of discovery will always be a crucial part of who I am. It feels like it’s in my bones.

I let my emotions guide my journey, taking a left or a right instinctively as I wandered on, discovering roads, lanes, people and cultures. The elegance of the aimless wandering with its many “firsts,” are part of the golden age of explora-

There are places you’ve never seen, people you’ve never met, foods you’ve never tasted, adventures you’ve never had — and you won’t be able to do it all, but if you start right now, you can make a dent. Explore new territories.

This wanderlust journal is photojournalist amalgamation of my experiences in Tokyo in Shibuya, Shinjuku, Daikanyama and places I cant even pronounce properly. I travelled by foot, trains and buses, collecting papers, souvenirs and memories with every step I took. Some areas were lively and some boring, some beautiful, some spiritual and some plain generic, but all in all, a deep insight into the overlapping layers of memories and cultures of the city.

Make new memories. Be a Wanderlust.

On my last day I was headed down from Tokyo to a little town called Kanagawa to experience a quaint japanese town . On the way there, I noticed the sky was full of clouds & the sun was starting to lower in the sky. I went into sunset-chaser mode, and I made an impromptu detour and meandered through the city to a place where the town opens up to the Ocean. I was rewarded with a breathtaking sunset with bands of shimmering gold, orange & pink. I was mesmerized as I soaked in every moment until the sun slipped out of sight, dropping below the horizon.
