Lighting Designer: Studio ZNA AV hardware design: Sysco Main Contractor: Petter Halvorsen Specialist contractor: Factory Settings Showcase Contractor: Meyvaert Opplyst is a new permanent exhibition, designed by Nissen Richards Studio, at The National Library of Norway (Norway’s Nasjonalbiblioteket). All branding and graphics within the exhibition are also by the London-based studio, for whom this is a second project for the same client. The first, a temporary exhibition on Norwegian book history, came to a close in January.

Opplyst, meaning ‘Enlightened’, refers to the new exhibition’s central concept: the display of thirty highly-significant objects from the country’s history – fragments that helped shape the nation. The objects are now on display together for the first time in the Library’s central Oslo premises, with every surface and aspect bespoke-designed to create this dramatic and intense immersion into Norway’s fascinating history.

Team Li Xiongming In the case of Guizhou Medical University Dental Clinic, designer Li Xiongming, with his advanced aesthetic consciousness, profound design skills, ingenious ideas and new creative ideas, tells every patient that dental hospital can be a modern aesthetics full of flowing motion, a scientific and technological building with a sense of future, and a window of care full of warmth.

Through experiential design, the designer fully shows†the achievements of dental development in recent years in the†limited space. Through a wellthought-out layout, the newly built reception hall has a unified theme, clear levels, novel design, and outstanding highlights, which can catch people’s attention.†Through the creation of the overall atmosphere, the designer uses the dialogue between the building and the space to reflect the rigorous, professional and superb medical ethics of the medical team.

Yingliang Stone Natural History Museum Project Commissioner Yingliang Stone Group Creator Atelier Alter Architects

Team Zhenwei Li, Jiahe Zhang, Lairong Zheng, Bo Huang, Leilei Ma The project transforms the principal of stone dissection, which is specific to stone mining, into a spatial division mechanism, to cut the cubical space accordingly. Besides that, the geometric logic of crystal is also introduced as a way to tight the irregular spatial parts together.

The project stick to only one architecture element— the wall—to keep the consistency and authenticity for the project. The architecture language of the wall is reinvented with endless potentials, and so as the space between the walls. With the consistent architecture language, the construction of the project is simple and straightforward: with light-frame and gypsum board laying underneath as the substructure, the project uses double layers of concrete panels as the surfacing material for the interior space, to create the calm and coolness of the stone cave that houses the fossils.

Aesthetics of the Modern Forest Project Commissioner/Creator Chun Fu Development This apartment building is located in the corner, and facing the waterfront of Touqian River. The overall design planning, it is hoped that this building can reflect the surrounding natural environment of the site and use a modern style to create a comfortable and relaxed yet elegant public space for the residents. The main residents are IT engineer and professionals, so that the design team takes into their preferences for a simple and elegant lifestyle, avoid using complicated elements, with clean and simple design techniques and appropriate materials, creating a durable and easy maintenance public environment.

Prime Land Moonlight Life Center Project Commissioner Dowell Group Creator Zest Art

Team Xiao Yukun, Zou Anyi, Ye Dawei, Li Min Zest Art puts design thinking into business and strives to guide new business models. We try to grasp the real needs of the 24-hours community, promote design from the perspective of the business model, and make residents feel happy in the use process.

The design explores the natural power and humanistic spirit, considers the community interaction and residents’ needs, introduces the natural infection life as much as possible, and blurs the indoor and outdoor boundaries. To create a new living form of “forestdwelling in the city” and a life vision of “touching the scenery” to bring the comfortable life enjoyment of the ideal living style of DOWELL to the residents.

The life center takes “Moonlight” as the design theme: light as the medium and moon as the image, which awakens the residents’ love for their families in the urban ecology when they back home. Moonlight life center, use the first level open floor, is divided into four parts: Moon bar, Seed Library, Clover class, Moonlight market.
