Although the designer has profound experience in hotel design before, how to let people enjoy the unique experience brought by space is his eternal thinking and theme.

Team Chief Designer: Quankuan Lin, Lihong Ye, Xiongbiao Luo, Xiaojie Su Assistant Designer: Zhongxiong Wu, Xiaoqiang Su, Wenjin Chen As a local enterprise in pursuit of innovation, the client identifies the theme of the restaurant as “new style Chaoshan cuisine” based on the flavor of Chaoshan region in Guangdong, which inherits the essence of the tradition and obtains the favor of the cities’ elite class with a new image. Guangdong Chaoshan cuisine is always famous for its fresh taste of food, which is one of the important representatives of Cantonese cuisine. The restaurant is located in the commercial podium building of a premium office building in the CBD area. Linear simplicity and facade in white of the building highlight the minimalist modern architectural characteristics. There are more than 100,000 white-collar workers in the neighborhood, among whom 30 and 40 years old will be the main customers of this restaurant.

Team WANG, SHENG-CHENG An elevated lobby, as if a see-through glass box, allows in the wind from the shore, improves the air flow and reduces the need for air conditioning. The visual focuses on the scenic view of Bitan, taking the surrounding water, clouds, trees into consideration, as if composing a dance in the water shadows.

Team Chimin Cheng, Min Huang, Zhenli Wei, Xingchen Li The doorway adopts the thinking mode of modern architecture, extracts the image of streamer from the flying fresco and extends the regular body, plus the commonly used arch fighting elements in the local architecture, through the structural change, the two are integrated. In many parts of the room, niches are used to outline the rich and not fussy space atmosphere, but also to interpret the many regional characteristics of Dunhuang Grottoes.

Moji Inn Project Commissioner Moji Inn Creator GP Design Moji Inn is a renovation of an old house built in the late Qing Dynasty almost a hundred years ago. Inspired by Hui architecture, the project retained the basic structure of the old building and built other two supporting houses. With the typical layout of boutique hotel, the design optimizes the interior traffic line and creates a comfortable living environment. The designer adopted the simple local materials which represents the local characteristics in a limited budget. It is also easy for future maintenance. The inn has attracted many visitors and gained reputation.
