The tall building in the Taoyuan Arts and Culture Zone has the most beautiful view of the city outside the window. Through the floating interface, it defines the respective needs and coexistence spaces between the male and female owners. The flowing lines drew out hustle and bustle of the gorgeous city. The original texture of the material penetrates into the building, forming a unique serenity, becoming the place where can put the body and the mind at ease.

Team Yi-Chun, Du The designer brought a minimalism design techniques into this space, “Connect, circulate”, as well as laid out with pure materials, going with a visually penetrating courtyard, stairs and corridor on the second floor which stacks up an imposing ambience that meets the client’s expectation. With the multi-functional high-ceiling room, open kitchen area and the corridor on the second floor with clear glass as the medium, extending to the stairs and so on, the designer makes the place united where the clients can be well suited with their own space but still connected. By making good use of the inherently fenestration of the construction and the spectacular landscapes, the lights can be led into the room sufficiently. No matter where you are in the room, you can always see the view of natural greenery.

Team Yi-Chun, Du The client yearns for a warm and leisure style of American life, hence, the designer managed the patterns, the color, and the style based on his expectation. Because the base has a physical environment with ventilation, lighting and good vision, the designer make good use of these advantages so that the client can see the beautiful landscape from every corner and also named this space, “Rhythm of Light and Shadow”. Furthermore, the main daytime living area and the outdoor meadow are connected to each other.

NEO HOUSE Project Commissioner/Creator The Origin Design This case is the remodeling of an old duplex apartment, so the elevated pattern on the first floor renovated as a whole made the apartment spacious. The transparent layout ensures abundant indoor lighting and aeration.

The basic tone adopts American simplicity, i.e. sleek sophistication. Metallic and stylish furniture and decoration and highlighted colors embody a western lifestyle.

Team Jun Zheng, Zixu Li This project has been looking for the relationship between nature, people and light. The center of the design is around the perception of “human” himself, making space, nature and human dialogue. The design emphasizes interactivity and the proportion of blank space. The light box not only liberates the space, but also puts life, art, taste and attitude to beauty in it, endows the space with uniqueness, and creates a design idea with Oriental aesthetics, natural attributes and humanistic spirit.

”Blank space” is a respect for life, and spatial tonality is also a return to the essence of living space. In the repeated deliberation of space, designers do not stick to the original closed state of space, and from the perspective of “human”, improve the intimacy of human to nature, to find the living state of seclusion. The light box carries the deposition of time, and the blank space makes “people in the box” more likely.
