At the at least decade long annual event, the cocktail party for the MaxMara "Face of the Future" - this year awarded to Joey King - we noticed something seriously cool: the retro elevator to the first floor garden where it's held, has long curtains tied at the sides in front of it - and a small round mirror behind it. It looks like a Vermeer and van Eyck reference, don't they? "Girl With the Pearl Earring" and "The Arnolfini" - or what? And appropriately, there were a lot of pearl earrings headed up to the event, produced by David Rodgers Inc.
