Dr. Rajesh Bindal

Dr. Rajesh Bindal is a distinguished neurosurgeon based in Sugar Land, Texas, where he spearheads the region's first full-time neurosurgical practice. His academic journey began at Northwestern University in Chicago, where he excelled in the Honors Program in Medical Education, earning his undergraduate and medical degrees. His outstanding performance during this period led to his induction into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, signifying his early commitment to medical excellence. After completing his formal education, Dr. Bindal undertook a demanding six-year residency in neurological surgery, which provided him with the foundational skills necessary for a robust career in neurosurgery. He launched his professional practice 2001 at the Texas Medical Center in Houston, returning to his hometown to serve the community he knew well. In 2005, Dr. Bindal moved his practice to Sugar Land, identifying a significant need for specialized neurosurgical services in Fort Bend County. He established the Methodist Sugar Land Spine Center and was director from 2009 to 2013. His efforts continued as he helped to found the Methodist Sugar Land Neuroscience Program, where he held the position of surgical director from 2013 to 2017, expanding access to comprehensive neurological care in the area. Dr. Bindal's academic contributions include a stint as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Baylor College of Medicine from 2006 to 2009.
