INTRODUCTION

In today’s world, where illness is waiting at the door, taking care of your health is important. Imagine having a healing modality that can cure all the problems/illnesses from skin disease to chronic inflammation. Wouldn’t that be ideal?

If there were a pill like that, the Big Pharmaceuticals would call it a “Pill of Life,” but little did we know that it EXISTED. However, it’s not in the form of a pill but rather LIGHT.

“We have the light of God, of Jesus in us. And with that light, I believe that’s where healing really is. It’s not with a drug or chemical, or even with a herb. I think it’s with that light of Jesus that we can heal. And if we say words, what did Jesus say? “You will know my followers by how they love each other.” And love is just, it’s not only a word or a feeling, it’s a powerful light, it’s a feeling.” - Dr. Antonio Jimenez

Dr Antonio Jiminez is talking about Red Light Therapy (RLT) or photobiomodulation. RLT works without interfering with your system like a pill would, preventing you from being exposed to dangerous toxins.

Red Light Therapy is non-invasive, non-ablative, pain-free, and chemical-free. All you need to know is how to use RLT safely and effectively. In this eBook, I will walk you through the details of Red Light Therapy, from what it is and its benefits to how to use it at home.

CHAPTER 1 RED LIGHT THERAPY

Understanding the Basics and the Science Behind It

In this chapter, I will walk you through the basics of red light therapy, from what it is, to the science behind it, and its history. Red light therapy has been kept hidden from us for years, to be exact at least 100 years. There’s a rich history behind the RLT full of scientific data to prove its efficacy.

What is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy (RLT) also known as low-level laser therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation (PBM) is an alternative treatment that uses light to heal the body. It uses low-wavelength red light penetrating through the skin and improving cellular function. The most common use of the RLT is for skin rejuvenation, wound healing, pain relief, and inflammation reduction.

According to a recent study, red light therapy is the most effective treatment for reducing the side effects of harmful cancer treatments. (1)

History of Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy isn’t new to the world, back in 1903, a Danish physician named Niels Ryberg Finsen discovered the positive effects of concentrated red light on health. He was also awarded the Nobel Prize for his discovery that accelerated the healing of sores, especially lupus vulgaris. Upon receiving the award he said, “The supreme qualities of all science are honesty, reliability, and sober, healthy criticism.”

However, there has been a larger barrier to its acceptance, simply because it seemed unbelievable.

In 1989, in a paper on the health benefits of low-powered laser light, biophysicist Tiina Karu explained the treatment as “highly incredible and even mysterious.” She also hypothesized that RLT works as it improves the overall cell function stimulating the mitochondria that drive metabolism in animal cells. (2)

In 1980, engineer Ron Ignatius worked at the Wisconsin Center for Space Automation and Robotics (WCSAR), which was funded by NASA. Ignatius started research on LEDs for growing plants in space, and in 1989 it was successful. (3)

During that research, the scientists found that the red light therapy that they were giving plants affected the abrasions on their hands, healing them quickly. That was a BREAKTHROUGH! Then, between 1995 and 2003, NASA along with the WCSAR and SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) funded experimentation on medical uses of LEDs.

Recent studies have shown that near-infrared laser light boosts the production of growth factor proteins, collagen, and blood vessels in wounds that are starved for oxygen.

Even after multiple studies done to understand the mechanism, this is what scientists at NASA had to say:

“It’s hard to say what mechanisms of action are at work. Light works on so many different conditions it’s hard to identify just one underlying mechanism, but we’re getting closer.”

Today, Red Light Therapy or Photobiomodulation is used as a treatment for multiple illnesses, from skin problems to joint problems.

How Does Red Light Therapy Work?

Red light therapy targets the powerhouse of our cells, also known as Mitochondria. The red light penetrates deep into the skin. The cells absorb that light and produce energy or enhance healing. Let’s unpack this mechanism here:

#1: As soon as you are under the red light, your skin cells start absorbing the light. The wavelengths of these lights go deeper into the skin without causing any harm.

#2: The mitochondria in cells absorb the light and lead to various responses like increased ATP (adenosine triphosphate) production, enhanced oxygenation, and modulation of cellular signaling.

#3: Once the mitochondria absorbs the red light, it triggers the therapeutic effects for wound healing, pain relief, muscle recovery, and skin rejuvenation.

It’s as simple as that. Now among different types of RLT, these two are most commonly used:

Visible Red Light

If you are looking to use RLT for collagen production and skincare, visible red light therapy is your best choice. It typically ranges from approximately 620 to 700 nanometers (nm) in wavelength, is easily absorbed by the skin, and penetrates to a shallow depth of up to 5 millimeters.

With visible red light therapy, you will be able to stimulate cellular metabolism, increase collagen production, and enhance blood circulation.

Infrared Light

Infrared light therapy is divided further into two parts: near-infrared and far-infrared. Infrared light penetrates deeper tissues than visible red light. It goes to a shallow depth from millimeters up to centimeters. The wavelength of infrared light is 700 to 1200 nm for near-infrared light and far infrared light is 3000 nm to 0.1 mm.

Infrared light therapy is beneficial for someone who is looking for pain relief, tissue repair, and even muscle recovery.

RLT Benefits the Mitochondria – Dr. Cathleen Gerenger

“Red light therapy is very beneficial, especially when we talk about mitochondria health. What mitochondria is, is the mitochondria are a powerhouse of your cells. So every cell in your body has mitochondria.”

With red light therapy, it helps to stimulate your cells to increase blood circulation and increase and wake up the mitochondria again, which is the powerhouse. So then, you have sustainable energy throughout the day.

Red light therapy is also beneficial when it comes to fat loss and weight loss. We’ve seen studies where it shows that it helps to decrease the adipose tissue and remove the toxins from the body.”

The Science Behind Red Light Therapy or Photobiomodulation

There are studies showing how low-level laser therapy (LLT) can help in skin rejuvenation. It proved that our skin responds well to red light therapy. (4)

Near-infrared and red wavelengths target mitochondrial chromophores, increasing electron transport, ATP production, and nitric oxide release in skin cells. Through this activation, various signaling pathways are triggered, resulting in tissue healing and repair, making low-level light therapy (LLLT) useful for treating wrinkles, scars, burns, UV damage, pigmentary disorders like vitiligo, as well as acne and psoriasis.

Another study from a controlled trial determined the efficacy of the RLT or photobiomodulation. This study involved 136 volunteers, with 113 randomly assigned to four treatment groups. The volunteers received polychromatic light twice per week between 611–650 nm or 570–850 nm (normalized to 9 J/cm2 in the range 611–650 nm) and were compared to controls (n=23).

The treatment duration and irradiance were different in all groups and the data was collected at baseline after 30 sessions. The results were mind-blowing. All the treated subjects experienced an improvement in skin complexion and feel. The roughness was decreased and collagen production was increased. (7)

RLT Can Help Detox the Organs – Dr. Bryan Ardis

“Red light therapy is beneficial in helping to detox your internal organs. I would like to explain to you from the book by John Harvey Kellogg how it’s so beneficial. Alright, so if you’re in the audience and you’ve ever been told or know somebody who was told that they have a congested liver or liver, a fatty liver, they have a beer belly. The belly extends from the ribs, it sticks straight out. You have a distended toxic fat liver full of congested mucus, pus, toxins, you name it.

So John Harvey Kellogg said it’s really hard to detox a congested organ unless you can get all the blood out of it. So what he writes in the book is that when you expose the full body, any body part of the body that has skin, when

you expose it to red light, the red light expands and dilates all the little bitty blood vessels in your skin everywhere in your skin called capillaries.

It tells all the vessels called capillaries in your skin and your entire body, and your skin’s the largest organ in your whole body, bigger than every other organ in size, weight, and volume. When your skin starts heating up from the red light, all the blood in your organs, being delivered by arteries to them, blood is taken out of them by your veins, but all the blood in your arteries and blood vessels going in and out of organs like your liver, kidney, spleen, pancreas, you name it, 70 to 80% of the blood in those organs, when you expose the whole body to red light, moves out of your organs and floods into your skin.

And you’ll notice while in front of a red light or inside of a red light sauna, all of your body’s skin will turn red and sweating, very plump, very nice, very juicy. That’s because all the blood in your organs, the majority of it has been now forced out of your organs and into your skin only while you’re being exposed to the red light, and for several minutes after that. But what he found was if someone had cirrhosis of the liver, a congested liver, a toxic fat liver, if he could do infrared with these guys or these girls and expose them to red light in the sauna, their liver would just shrink down in minutes because all the blood was coming out of it and going into the skin.”

CHAPTER 2

BENEFITS OF RED LIGHT THERAPY

One-Stop Solution for a Healthy Lifestyle

Increase Collagen Synthesis and Reduce Acne

Red light therapy has gained significant attention for its wide array of benefits in promoting skin health and treating various dermatological conditions.

One of the primary mechanisms by which red light therapy benefits the skin is by stimulating the production of collagen, which is a protein that provides structural support to the skin, thus keeping it firm and elastic. As we age, collagen production naturally declines. When collagen production in the body is low, this can lead to wrinkles, fine lines, and sagging skin.

Red light therapy can increase collagen synthesis, thus improving skin texture and reducing signs of aging.

On the other hand, acne is a common skin condition characterized by the formation of pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, and nodules on the skin, typically on the face, neck, chest, shoulders, and back.

With RLT, it has been shown to have antimicrobial properties and can target and kill the bacteria associated with acne. It can also reduce inflammation, which greatly helps in preventing further acne breakouts.

A CONTROLLED TRIAL TO DETERMINE THE EFFICACY OF RED AND NEAR-INFRARED LIGHT TREATMENT IN PATIENT SATISFACTION, REDUCTION OF FINE LINES, WRINKLES, SKIN ROUGHNESS, & INTRADERMAL COLLAGEN DENSITY INCREASE

Photobiomodulation (PBM) or low-level light therapy (LLLT) alters cellular function using non-thermal LED light. Red light between 600 to 1300 nm can penetrate the skin and aids in wound healing, tissue repair, and skin rejuvenation.

It promotes cellular proliferation, which is the process by which cells divide and multiply, migration, which is the movement of cells from one location to another, and adhesion, which is the ability of cells to attach or stick to surfaces, including other cells or components within tissues.

When cellular proliferation is promoted, it can lead to several health benefits in the body, such as tissue growth and repair, wound healing, development of organs, increased immune response, and regeneration.

The study also disclosed that when it comes to healing wounds and tissue repair, RLT directly stimulates the natural regeneration process without causing any tissue damage. It also does not cause inflammation, pain, prolonged social downtime, or the period when a person’s normal social activities are limited due to a medical procedure. (8)

Effective in Reducing Pain and Inflammation

Inflammation is a common factor in many types of pain, including arthritis, muscle strains, and joint pain. Due to RLT’s anti-inflammatory effects, it can help reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and mediators. By decreasing inflammation, it is an effective and widely used therapy that can reduce pain associated with inflammatory conditions.

On the other hand, RLT is known to have an analgesic effect. Analgesics refers to a type of medication or treatment that relieves or reduces pain by interfering with the transmission of pain signals along nerve pathways or by altering the brain’s perception of pain.

RLT can stimulate the release of compounds such as endorphins and enkephalins which are natural pain-relieving chemicals that bind to the opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord, thus blocking pain signals.

It has also been shown to provide relief from acute and chronic pain conditions such as the following:

• Sprains & Strains;

• Surgical Pain;

• Fractures;

• Dental Pain;

• Burns;

• Arthritis;

• Back Pain;

• Neuropathic Pain;

• Fibromyalgia and;

• Migraines

MECHANISMS AND APPLICATIONS

(RED LIGHT THERAPY)

Photobiomodulation (PBM), also known as low-level laser therapy, uses red and near-infrared light to promote healing, alleviate pain, and decrease inflammation. It can reduce inflammation, injuries, lung conditions, and even brain health by decreasing markers of M1 phenotype in macrophages and reactive nitrogen species.

Regarding inflammation, it can reduce levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines by decreasing the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in activated inflammatory cells, which are highly reactive molecules that contain oxygen generated as a byproduct of cellular metabolism.

While ROS plays several important roles in cell signaling and host defense mechanisms, excessive accumulation of ROS can lead to oxidative stress.

Improves Mood & Overall Mental Well-Being

Serotonin, as a neurotransmitter, transmits signals between nerve cells in the brain and throughout the central nervous system (CNS). It is often referred to as the “feel-good” neurotransmitter because of its ability to regulate mood, emotions, and behavior.

Research shows that RLT can stimulate the production and release of serotonin in the brain. When this happens, there is a general improvement in a person’s mood and feelings of well-being.

Aside from serotonin, dopamine is another neurotransmitter that is like a messenger in the brain that helps control many important things including how a person feels, moves, and thinks. It is also a chemical that makes a person feel happy and motivated.

RLT can help make more dopamine in the brain, and it does this by helping certain enzymes work better, thus helping the brain make more dopamine.

Regarding stress, RLT can decrease levels of stress hormones such as cortisol, which is a hormone in the body that helps the body deal with stress. It’s often called the “stress hormone” because the body releases more of it when it is under pressure or facing a challenging situation. By lowering cortisol levels, RLT promotes a state of relaxation and calmness, helping to alleviate stress and improve mood.

Enhances Eye Health & Vision

RLT promotes better blood circulation in the body, including blood flow to the eyes. It does this by stimulating the production of nitric oxide, which is a molecule that relaxes and dilates blood vessels.

When blood vessels are dilated, there is a faster and more efficient delivery of oxygen and nutrients to all organs in the body, including the eyes.

Even further, RLT stimulates mitochondrial activity within cells of the eye, particularly in the retina. By enhancing the function of mitochondrial activity in the retina, RLT helps maintain the energy levels necessary for optimal visual function.

RLT Can Increase Blood Flow & Circulation – Dr. Bryan Ardis

“If you expose the entire body to red light, it makes all the capillaries in your skin, those little thin vessels, it makes them go like this. It makes them swell with that heat and light coming from the red light. It tells all the vessels called capillaries in your skin and your entire body, and your skin is the largest organ in your whole body, bigger than every other organ in size, weight, and volume.

It’s capillaries. These capillaries can swell. He writes and publishes that over 70% of all the blood in your internal organs, liver, kidneys, spleen, ovaries, testes, prostate, you name it, your intestines, all the blood in those organs, 70 to 80% of them, you can take the blood out of those organs in just minutes and move them into your skin. And you’ll notice while in front of a red light or inside of a red light sauna, all of your body’s skin will turn red and sweating, very plump, very nice, very juicy.

That’s because all the blood in your organs, the majority of it, has been now forced out of your organs and into your skin only while you’re being exposed to the red light, and for several minutes after that. But what he found was is if someone had cirrhosis of the liver, a congested liver, a toxic fat liver, if he could do infrared saunas with these guys or these girls and expose them to red light in the sauna, their liver would just shrink down in minutes because all the blood was coming out of it and going into the skin.

When you take the added volume of the stress of blood in the liver from an enlarged liver and you shrink that down by applying heat to the body with infrared light, when you do that, the congestion off of the liver improves how fast the liver can detox infections and poisons into the intestines.

Thus, speeding up the healing process for any kidney failure person, liver failure person, spleen infection from parasites, intestinal problems, prostate enlargement, lupus, and autoimmune diseases. They were able to see if they could use red light to help them neutralize poisons and venoms. If they could use red light to increase blood circulation into any tissues. The reason why these red lights work on the helmets of people who are wearing them, the red light makes the capillaries in the scalp expand and now more blood goes into the scalp. And inside the skin of your scalp is where all your hair follicles are.

And if we can just bring them more oxygen, bring them more B Vitamins, if we can bring them more chromium, vanadium, zinc, copper to the hair follicles in your blood, guess what happens to your hair? It starts to grow back in. And this is what they find with alopecia victims and others. So red light is an incredibly effective therapy and if you don’t understand yet, and that’s okay if you don’t, all of us are on different wavelengths of knowledge and time-frames of learning. It’s one step at a time.

If I remember anything from What About Bob, it’s all about baby steps. So for me, there was a time about 20 years ago when I was considering LASIK surgery for my eyes and I just want to bring this up to all of you. You already know red light is being used to heal people. They’re using it in really fine focused wavelengths called lasers and they are shining red light in the form of a laser into the retina of your eye to help resolve underlying causes of vision loss, and it only takes a few minutes.”

RLT’s Benefits to the Mitochondria & Circadian Rhythm – Dr. David Jockers

“Red light stimulates mitochondrial function, so it helps to optimize mitochondrial energy production. In particular, it penetrates our skin and about really through our dermis and like the superficial part of our muscle, so it gets into our body more on the surface. So it’s going to really impact our skin health. Being exposed to red light on a regular basis can have a big impact on the overall health of our skin.

So, for people who are dealing with eczema, and psoriasis where they have higher amounts of inflammation, and acne in their skin, red light can be really powerful for helping to reduce oxidative stress and inflammation in the skin. On top of that, stimulating, supporting mitochondria, supporting good collagen and elastin production for healthy skin so we don’t get wrinkles or we’re able to heal and repair age spots on our skin.

Red light can be really powerful for that. So one of the best things we can do for anti-aging is being exposed to that red light. iInfrared,. Again, you can’t see that, but it in a sense in nature comes at a high amount with the red light. early in the day, sunrise, later in the evening, sunset, higher amounts of infrared, although it’s always present coming from the sun, you start to get higher amounts and infrared will penetrate deeper into the system.

So it’ll penetrate the muscles, into the bones, into the joints, and it has very powerful effects at reducing inflammation. And one of the powerful things that infrared does is it stimulates mitochondrial melatonin production. And we talked about this earlier with sleep and circadian rhythm, but mitochondrial melatonin production. Melatonin is a powerful antioxidant that protects the mitochondria. So infrared stimulates that which allows the mitochondria to resist oxidative stress to function better and to optimize their health.

And so, getting infrared exposure has been shown to reduce joint pain and people with rheumatoid arthritis or osteoarthritis. On top of that, helps stimulate better blood flow. It actually stimulates something called nitric oxide in the blood, which helps dilate the blood vessels and allows more oxygen and nutrients to get from the blood into the major cells of the body. So infrared is really key for that and has powerful effects at supporting. We talked about skin health, and overall energy neurotransmitter production as well. Red and infrared both help support energy production.

They also help stimulate proper circadian rhythm. So again, this mitochondrial melatonin production also helps set the circadian rhythm. So we can fall asleep when we go to bed, get really good deep and REM sleep, which is really where we recover and heal. Then, wake up at a good time and have wakefulness, have the right amount of stress hormone to give us wakefulness when we wake up in the morning.

So it’s not hard to get out of bed. So red and infrared can have a powerful effect on that. So really great benefits getting exposed to red and infrared on a regular basis. Very powerful and you don’t need a whole lot of exposure, 10, or 15 minutes almost at basically any time of the day will have dramatic effects on your body.

So that’s what I try to do every single day. And then, there’s an ancient proverb that says, “If you want to have great energy throughout the day, watch the sunrise. And if you want to sleep well at night, watch the sunset.”

And it’s an amazing proverb and it really has to do with the exposure to the red and infrared light when we are exposed to that. That’s going to help us with daily energy and it’s going to help us have a better circadian rhythm and sleep better at night.

But on top of that, the research has shown that there are so many other benefits, particularly to getting red and infrared exposure up on our bodies. Like red light, there are actually masks, you can wear a red light face mask where you can get it right to direct impact on your skin, and again, that will help reduce scarring, acne, eczema, psoriasis, age spots, wrinkles, things like that, and just help your overall skin and roughly 10 to 20 minutes a day of doing that.

But infrared is heating. Infrared will actually heat, so you don’t want infrared to be in direct contact with your skin or it can cause too much of a thermic effect and heat it and cause damage. So you want that roughly 4 to 6 inches away. So if you’re using a panel with red and infrared, the best thing to do is be about 4 to 6 inches away.

If you’re using a mask with just red, you can put that right up on your skin, or obviously, some people are exposed to just infrared if they’re in an infrared sauna, for example. And then, they’re getting the benefits of heat, which stimulates heat shock proteins and these heat shock proteins basically scavenge old damaged cells.

They help get rid of senescent dysfunctional cells in our system and help with the repair process, helping break those down and triggering the release of stem cells and new healthy, young, stress-resilient cell production. And so, heat shock proteins are powerful. Of course, the sweating effect also, something like an infrared sauna is a great way to help open up drainage pathways and detoxify because you move a lot of toxicity through your sweat. And so, that’s really powerful as well. It also helps vibrate cells and allows cells to be in an environment to release toxicity, which then gets into the bloodstream and ideally the liver deactivates it.”

CHAPTER 3 BUSTING MYTHS

Red Light Therapy is Not Just Pseudoscience

Recently, red light therapy is gaining popularity and so are the myths about it. Even though it has abundant benefits, doubt lingers in everyone’s mind. Let me debunk these myths for you. Trust me, the RLT is not just pseudoscience. You already know the science behind it and its benefits.

Myth #1: All Light Therapies Are Same

People say all the light therapies are the same, but they are not. There are different light therapies like blue light or green light. However, the thing that matters most in light therapy is the wavelength of light and how much deeper it can penetrate the skin.

The RLT can reach a depth of 600 to 900 nm, while blue and green light can reach a depth of 400 to 470 nm and a maximum of 520 nm, respectively.

Myth #2: Red Light Therapy Is Only a Gimmick

No, it’s not. Thousands of peer-reviewed clinical studies prove the science behind red light therapy and its efficacy. From plants and animals to us human beings, red light therapy is a therapeutic treatment for all living beings. (9)

Red Light Therapy is Therapeutic – Dr. Bryan Ardis

“Red light therapy is very therapeutic. Red light is required by all living organisms to provide an energy source of life, and neutralization of poisons that we’ve even learned. And it helps to decongest our organs internally. And most of us are bombarded with toxins, poisons from air, water, food, you name it. We’re all being exposed to all kinds of crap chemtrails. So we should be systematically detoxing 24/7 red light therapy. Red light saunas are a great resource on how to do that. And Light Therapeutics would be the book I would recommend to you. “

Myth #3: Red Light Therapy Burns Your Skin

This myth has gained popularity due to a lack of correct information. Many associate red light with heat, instead red light therapy devices dissipate the heat. Also, UV (Ultraviolet) rays cause burns on the skin, and RLT is known to repair the damage caused by UV rays.

Myth #4: Red Light Therapy Can Only Be Done At Professional Clinics

There are many red light therapy devices available that you can use at home. However, you need to do research before purchasing the RLT device. A few things to look at while purchasing RLT devices are the types of light emitted, its irradiance, the size of the device, and most importantly its purpose. You can get professional clinic-like results at home with the right RLT device.

Myth #5: Red Light Therapy Is All About Looking Straight Into Bulbs for Hours

Well, RLT is not just that. First, you should not perform RLT every day and not for hours. The key is to start with a shorter duration and increase the time as per your treatment.

Second thing, it’s not harmful to look directly into the LEDs. However, you might experience seeing things more blue or green temporarily. RLT can support eye health and help in healing vision problems if viewed at a certain distance. If you are using RLT for pain relief or skin treatment it’s better to keep your eyes closed.

Myth #6: RLT Works Only For Skin Health

Red light therapy is commonly used in dermatology for treating acne, scars, wrinkles, and much more. However, the RLT or photobiomodulation is proven to be efficient in pain relief, tissue repair, mental wellness, and even improving sleep among other benefits.

CHAPTER 4 REVERSING DISEASE

Photobiomodulation for Cancer, Autoimmune, and Chronic Diseases

RLT Can Detox Cancer Cells – Dr. Jimenez

“So this is a nice therapy, the hydrogen inhalation to combine in an integrative setting that I believe all integrative cancer centers should avail themselves too. The next key principle, let’s talk about detoxification. And we know that major toxicities nowadays are aluminum, glyphosate, and EMFs. We have to take care of cadmium, arsenic of course, and mercury.

So the main area of detoxification is red light therapy, near-infrared is my favorite because we know that red light therapy does a number of things. It decreases inflammation, decreases acidity, it improves microcirculation of healthy tissue or damaged tissue without enhancing microcirculation to cancer cells.

This is only effective with normal healthy tissue, which is amazing. Red light therapy also is very effective in detoxing heavy metals, heavy metals. So of course I also have red light therapy in my home and, of course, at our treatment centers.

These tools can be anything from helmets that we apply on the head for penetration into the brain at 810 nanometers. By the way, the Wellman Center for Photomedicine at Harvard led by, or formerly led by Dr. Drake, I believe her name was, uses and studies photomedicine, light therapy, red light therapy with brain pathology, and neuro-degenerative diseases for example.

We use it a lot in our brain cancer patients, whether it’s primary or metastatic brain cancer. So detoxification is also useful with red light therapy. As I said, it’s a very good natural chelator and helps us release heavy metals to the skin. Then we shift to the next key principle, which is immunotherapy.

And this is a big topic of conversation of course, but I’ll mention a couple of the tools and therapies that we find very, very useful. And I believe that at Hope4Cancer being very humble is that we have some of the most effective, if not the most effective non-toxic natural immunotherapies in the world.

And this is using one that we call salvus. This is tapping one’s ability to increase the adaptive immune system, the memory immune system, T-cells, natural killer cells, and dendritic cells, very, very important. This is an IV that we use for a shot in the buttocks. And then we have a spray that upregulates T-cell activity in natural killer cells, very, very effective. The other aspect is using a therapy that we call Sunivera™ that targets the macrophages, the first sign of defense in our body. Macrophages are interesting cells.

They are located in every tissue of our body. And when there’s the alarm rings, there’s a damaged cell, there’s a virus, there’s a bacteria, the macrophage is mobilized from tissue and goes to the site of disease, the site of a damaged cell, of a pre-malignant cell of a pathogen, a microbe, and annihilates them.”

RLT for Autoimmune Diseases: Efficacy & Application

Rheumatoid Arthritis

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the joints. It has several symptoms, but the most popular ones include joint inflammation and progressive joint damage.

RLT can alleviate symptoms and improve outcomes in patients afflicted with RA by modulating the activity of immune cells and suppressing the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines.

When the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines is suppressed, this dampens the excessive immune response characteristic of RA that results in decreased joint inflammation and pain.

As previously discussed, RLT is widely known and regarded to promote cellular regeneration and tissue repair processes. It can also increase the production of collagen which can help repair damaged joints in patients afflicted with RA. (10)

Psoriasis

Psoriasis is a chronic skin condition that causes red, itchy, and scaly patches to appear on the skin. It happens when the immune system mistakenly attacks healthy skin cells, causing them to grow too quickly.

When this happens, the rapid growth of skin cells leads to the formation of thick, raised patches known as plaques.

RLT helps decrease inflammation in the skin by calming the immune response, which is overactive in psoriasis. When there is a decrease in inflammation, this can lead to a reduction in redness, itching, and irritation symptoms.

As previously mentioned, RLT has analgesic properties. This property can alleviate pain associated with psoriasis lesions, making the condition more manageable and improving comfort.

Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis

An autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the body’s thyroid gland, damaging the thyroid tissue, causing inflammation, and interfering with its ability to produce hormones that are important for regulating metabolism and energy levels.

As previously discussed, RLT has anti-inflammatory effects. This property of RLT can alleviate the inflammation associated with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis. By reducing inflammation in the thyroid gland, RLT can preserve or even aid in thyroid function and decrease or eliminate symptoms.

Regarding thyroid function, RLT has been shown to have a stimulating effect on it by promoting cellular energy production and metabolism.

Cancer

Cancer is caused by several internal and external environmental factors. However, inflammation is one of the most common root causes of cancer, and this is because chronic inflammation can damage our DNA and promote genetic mutations.

Chronic inflammation can also impair the immune system’s ability to detect and eliminate cancer cells.

When the body’s immune surveillance is reduced, cancer cells can evade detection and elimination by the immune system, allowing them to proliferate and accumulate within the body.

This increases the risk of developing cancer or allows existing cancerous cells to progress to more advanced stages.

Even further, cancer cells that evade immune detection can continue to grow and form tumors. When left unregulated and undetected by our immune system, tumors can grow unchecked and invade nearby tissues.

CHAPTER 5 Guide To Using Red Light Therapy At Home

Using red light therapy at home needs the perfect device and proper knowledge on how to use it. In this chapter, I will walk you through the process of choosing the right RLT device and tips on how to use it safely and effectively.

Choosing the Right Red Light Therapy Device

Types of RLT Devices

There are two types of RLT devices: Handheld and Panels.

• Handheld devices are ideal for the targeted treatment whereas panels are for the full-body treatment.

• Handheld devices are more affordable and portable, but that’s not the case with panels. Panels are quite costly and will take up more space in your room as well.

Regardless, select the type of device as per your requirement, if you need full-body red light therapy then panels are the best option.

Factors To Consider Before Buying

Now, once you are sure about the type of RLT device you want to go with, make sure you are looking at the following things before making a purchase:

#1: IRRADIANCE

The very first thing to look at should be irradiance, as it is the amount of energy your body part is receiving over a certain period while using the device. Irradiance is commonly measured as milliwatts per square centimeter or mW/cm².

The recommended irradiance level for RLT devices should be greater than 120 mW/cm² for maximum efficiency.

#2: WAVELENGTH

Wavelength is always measured in nm (Nanometer). Visible red light’s frequency is 600 to 700 nm, whereas Infrared light’s frequency is in the 700 to 900 nm range. According to the study published, light wavelengths between 660 and 670 nm and 830 to 850 nm have the greatest impact on the cellular respiration process. If you can find the device between this wavelength range, you will get the optimum results. (11)

Steve Marchese on RLT Wavelengths

“So as far as when you’re talking about inflammation in LED or red light therapy, for one, you’re not talking about red light because you’re talking about infrared. And although we kind of use red light now as a just catchall term for LED therapy, the higher the numerical number of nanometers that the infrared is, the deeper it’s going to go into the body. All things considered, all things like the acrylic could affect it, like I said before, the distance that you are from the skin. So an 810 or 850 infrared LED is going to go just so far. Whereas a 940 and maybe up to a 980, you never see anything above 980, is going to go much deeper than the 850. So you can affect different levels of inflammation with different wavelengths of LED.”

#3: NUMBER OF LEDS

The phrase “The more, the better” suits best when looking for the number of LEDs in a red light therapy device. The RLT device with more LEDs increases the effectiveness and decreases the treatment time.

Common RLT Devices Misconceptions – Steve Marchese

“One of the bigger myths having to do with red light therapy or LED light therapy is it’s popularly advertised on certain websites that they have this much power. And then the next one has this much power. And so one starts to think that, oh, this is like a horsepower race. This is like the one that puts out the most energy, must be doing the best.

But contrary to that, there’s a gentleman named Dr. Harry T. Whelan of Wisconsin Medical University. And in the mid-90s, NASA did studies on LEDs, and they were looking to “How do you grow something in space? And how do you heal a wound in space?” That sort of thing.

Dr. Whalen ran those studies and it was when the LED technology was brought up to a whole new level, a much more sophisticated level than prior to that. Dr. Whelan went on to become the world authority on anything LED and medical. And in that, he’s done more than 50 clinical studies using LED, and we have a very good relationship with Dr. Whelan.

We have built devices for him for reversing blindness caused by diabetes and reversing macular degeneration, healing the chest after open and heart surgery, elephantiasis, and activating a chemical that searches out and kills cancer cells in brain tumors. These are all successful studies that Dr. Whalen has done over the last 10 years or so, 15 years.

But we asked Dr. Whalen about comparing devices, device A to device B by specifications, not just by energy alone, but by specifications. His answer was, “You not only cannot compare device A to device B by their specs and have any idea of which one is going to perform better say on reducing inflammation.

So you can’t do that by their specs. You’ll never know”. He says, “But you also, you can’t even compare device A to itself when you change the treatment distance by maybe a quarter of an inch of how closer you are to the skin, let’s say, or by an extra 2 minutes or 2 minutes lesser, you have no idea which one is going to do better”.

And to further back that up, if you look up the 200 most looked at clinical studies having to do with red light therapy, you’ll find that they’re all successful and they span from having as little as a quarter of 1 joules output up to 96 joules output. So when somebody tells you that their device puts out more than somebody else’s for one, you don’t even know if that’s true.

But more importantly, that isn’t how you can determine whether a device is any good or not. And Dr. Whalen says it’s only by results. So you can only try it and see if it works and if it works on one thing, like if it works on wrinkles, you don’t know how it’s going to work on reducing inflammation until you do that study. So don’t be fooled by those things.”

Tips on Using RLT Safely and Effectively

After careful consideration when you finally have the device in the comfort of your own home, the very first step should be reading the user manual. You’ll find everything there, from the specifications to how to use it. Other than that, below are some tips and strategies to get the best outcome from your RLT device.

Eye Protection

If you are using an RLT device for pain relief, skin treatment, or for any problem where you need to stay closer to the device it is advised to wear eye protection. Even though red light would never harm your eyes, staring directly into LEDs at a shorter distance might temporarily affect color perception and vision.

Photobiomodulation therapy (PBMT) is proven to be effective in treating eye disease. A study states that PBMT can be a safe and effective treatment for the fields of ophthalmology and neurology. (12)

Don’t Wear Clothing

It is recommended that you do not wear clothing in the area being treated with red light therapy so that you can get the maximum benefit from the treatment. Clothes act as a barrier for red light to penetrate deeper into the skin. However, you can wear light clothing like underwear, bra, shorts and socks. They won’t hamper the treatment. Lastly, your face and body should be clean before using a red light therapy device.

Position The Device At The Recommended Distance

Distance is the major part of the RLT. The ideal distance between you and the panel should be around 4 to 12 inches if you are treating muscle repair.

For treating skin problems, the distance from the device should be 12 to 36 inches as you don’t need red light to penetrate deeper and it will cover a larger skin surface level too. If you are using RLT for general and not specific treatment, the ideal distance can be between 6 to 36 inches. (13)

The distance also depends on your comfort level, many users find even 1.5 feet distance works well. Hence, you need to understand your comfort level and the distance that works best.

Start With a Shorter Exposure Time And Gradually Work Up

While starting afresh with the red light therapy, start with 10 minutes of exposure per session. After a few sessions gradually work your way up to the 15 to 20 minutes of exposure. If you feel your skin tightening and too much redness, cut down the length of your session.

Since RLT promotes blood circulation in specific regions, your skin will naturally seem red and light-colored when you take it, so be sure it’s not excessive and challenging.

Studies prove that RLT protocols ranging from exposure of 15 to 30 minutes show prominent and desired results for the full-body treatment. For skin treatment, it’s between 8 to 10 minutes. (14) (15)

Be Consistent With The Sessions

Experts recommend taking sessions of 5 to 15 minutes every other day for optimal results. If you ever miss a session, don’t stretch the session for more than the recommended time, instead add one more day. (16)

Expert Recommendation on RLT Frequencies and Dosage

There are several studies indicating the same outcomes and therefore, recommendations. The optimal red light therapy dosage is between 2J/cm³ and 60J/cm². (17)

Other recommendations on frequencies and dosages vary as per the condition: (18)

For Skin Issues:

• Skin requires 3 to 15 joules of red light therapy, at 660 nm.

• If you are using RLT for general skin issues, or anti-aging the ideal distance would be between 12 to 36 inches for up to 14 minutes.

• If you are treating acne, wounds, scars, or even stimulating hair growth the ideal distance would be between 6 and 12 inches for up to 5 minutes for maximum effectiveness.

For Deeper Issues:

• For deeper problems like muscle, bones, joints, fat, glands, brain, etc, you will require NIR between 10 to 40 joules, at 850 nm.

• In these cases, you will always be required to be closer to the lights between 6 to 12 inches. As for time, you need to spend anywhere between 2 to 7 minutes and 5 to 10 minutes respectively.

CHAPTER 6

Real-Life Healing Stories

50% Reduction in Inflammation with RLT - Steve Marchese’s Patients

“I have an interesting story. We had our bed in a wellness clinic in Atlanta, and there’s a technology called thermography. And thermography is an infrared camera that takes a picture of the body and shows the hotspots or the inflammation in the body. And when you compare it to a mammogram, doctors tell us that it’s about 5 to 7 years ahead of a mammogram in that if you found cancer in a mammogram, you might be able to see it, see not cancer, but maybe inflammation in that exact spot 5 to 7 years earlier with thermography. So we had a woman that had come into one of these centers that had our LED bed and she had her thermography report and she had solid inflammation on both breasts and her back.

And she bought a package of 16 treatments to try and do something about this inflammation. And at the end of 16 treatments, she went back to her doctor and it was reduced by 50% basically with his new thermography report. And so then we made it available to her to do more treatments so that she could continue that of getting rid of inflammation. But we’ve done the same thing where we’ve taken a gymnast that had a lot of aches and pains, a 60-year-old gymnast who had a lot of aches and pains from all that gym work that they did when they were a teenager and took like 60 treatments to really get rid of a good portion of the inflammation that was in her body.”

Mind-Blowing RLT Experience of Dr. Bryan Ardis and His Wife

“My wife from the time we started using that red light therapy, has more hair on her head. Immediately, she started having all these little hairs growing and her hairdresser’s like, “Oh my gosh, what are you doing? You got all this hair growing in.” Two things we did at the same time. She started using the red light sauna. She puts her head down like this while she’s in there, she’s butt naked in there.

You get in there completely naked and close the door. Sit in there for 2 and a half minutes facing the lights, 2 and a half minutes, turn left, 2 and a half minutes, turn your back to it, turn, and 2 and a half on the other side. Face it again, is what I do. Ending with my back to it. 2½ minutes a cycle. It’s like 15 minutes, you’re done. It gives me more energy than I’ve ever imagined light could do. It’s pretty awesome. John Harvey Kellogg writes that every single human being has a certain genetic reaction to infrared light. And he writes in there, once you figure out what amount of red light your body needs a day, you’re going to notice the moment you hit that period, which is usually between 10 and 20 minutes, mine is 15 minutes. When you get enough of this red light, you will see so much improvement in mental function, focus, energy, and vitality.

It’s unfortunate though, if you try to go above that level, you’ll become extremely fatigued and brain-fogged. And I did this. I was experimenting every day to see what is the right amount of time being exposed to this red light to get the maximum benefit. And when I hit 2 and a half minutes facing each of the lights with my back, front sides, whatever. When I did 6 rotations on a stool facing the lights, I suddenly had this huge, it felt like a light went off in my brain and I was so excited to get into research and go do presentations. It was a super productive day, never got tired the whole day. The next day I was like, that was amazing. I’m going to increase the light exposure to 3 minutes at intervals. So I went from 2 and a half minutes 6 times to 3 minutes 6 times, and I was so exhausted all day long.

Then as I was reading on the next flight the next day I was reading the Light Therapeutics book. I get into the chapter where he talks about how people have this exposure to red light and everybody has this point at which energy will be all your cells in your body are just vibrating at this high frequency with light, or they can be overwhelmed by the stimulation of the light. And for me, I figured out what it was. And for me, 2-and-a-half-minute intervals, 6 times, whatever that equals, it’s close to 15 minutes. And man, do I feel great every single day starting my day that way. So my workouts, I go for my workouts, get in the infrared sauna, and do that every day. My wife has seen hair growth. I dunno if my hair has grown in, it’s always been very thick, but two things.

My wife did red light therapy and that’s the only thing she’s seen working. Second thing, at the same time, she started wearing something called a WAVwatch. And it looks like an iPhone watch or what do they call it? iWatch. It looks like an Apple watch except it looks bigger. It’s got a bigger screen on it and it’s got technology. You can just go through it. It’s computerized. You can select specific frequencies of electromagnetic frequencies to be emitted by sound from the device that actually will target specific tissues in the human body and disease states. And there are thousands of categories in the device. Well, she just obviously picked tinnitus. She wears it every single day from the time she started doing red light therapy, which is all frequencies of light. Started wearing a WAVwatch every single day on her person all day long.

She just turns it down to where she can barely hear it. The sound frequency. It doesn’t matter what the volume is as long as the body can pick up on it. And she has seen continued hair growth at levels she’s not seen in 3 years. So this is what we have found has been so beneficial about frequencies. There are some people I would recommend you study. John Harvey Kellogg and his Light Therapeutic books are a must if you want to understand light therapy.”

Revie And Chuck Are Free From Cancer

For 10+ Years – Dr. Antonio Jiminez

“The first key principle is non-toxic cancer therapy. What are some of the specific therapies that we do with respect to non-toxic cancer therapy? What that means is that these therapies will spare normal cells and normal tissue, and some of the therapies enhance healthy cells while at the same time selectively and preferentially attacking and affecting disease cells, and cancer cells. And the first one I like to mention, which is what we’re well known throughout time in the world, is PhotoDynamicTherapy, also called photobiomodulation or light therapy. I was one of the first to integrate red light therapy and infrared sauna in cancer therapy and developed some immunotherapies to empower yourself – empower yourself to your healing.

And remember always, cancer is not a death word. Cancer is an opportunity to learn, to heal, and to recover. And cancer truly is an opportunistic disease. It doesn’t happen by accident. It’s not that you deserved it. It’s an opportunistic disease that presents itself in the body because of toxicity, negative thoughts, and all the root causes of disease embedded in that beautifully made body by God. And so, let this be your opportunity to heal and to improve your life. And always remember that there is time to think.

Revie was diagnosed with Stage 4 biliary pancreatic cancer. And she had the Whipple procedure, which is one of the most aggressive surgeries in oncology. You remove part or all the pancreas, you remove part of the liver, the gallbladder part of the colon, if that’s involved, the small intestine, a lot of lymph nodes, and anything else that the surgeon can get out that has cancer activity. So this is called a whip of surgery or aggressive surgery.

All the plumbing has changed. Patients have digestive problems for the rest of their lives and it doesn’t necessarily increase their life expectancy, which is a bad thing. Of course, chemotherapy and radiation for pancreatic liver, and biliary tract cancer is very ineffective in the short to medium term, let alone long term, but didn’t know any better. She had the Whipple. Within months after the Whipple, when the surgeon said, we got it all, she developed abdominal pain again and she knew there was something not right. She’s a brilliant lady, a bible scholar, and she went back to the famous hospital in the LA area, Los Angeles, and they said, “No, no, we are not going to rescan you because everything is fine. We just had the surgery a few months ago. But she insisted and insisted until they rescanned her. Now they found liver metastasis, which she didn’t have initially, and they found a recurrent tumor in what we call the surgical bed, the area where the initial tumor was in the biliary pancreatic area.

And so at this time, they offer palliative treatment for Revie. She found us, this is about 12 years ago, and to this day in 2024, Revie is cancer-free and thriving. The result for 5-year survival with pancreatic cancer is 2.5% according to the National Cancer Institute of the SEER data and means surveillance, epidemiology, and end-stage result data. Revie is now in her 12th year cancer-free and doing well. That was one testimonial. We have another patient with Stage 4. As I said, most of our cancer patients are Stage 4. And Chuck from the Georgia area came to us post-surgery with bladder cancer. They had removed his bladder already and it now has spread to the liver and the neobladder, the neobladder that is formed surgically. And he did some immunotherapies at that time and it wasn’t effective. Chuck came to us, and again, that’s been about 11 years now if not more. And Chuck is cancerfree, thriving, and doing well.”

CHAPTER 7

Frequently Asked Questions on RLT

1. IS IT BETTER TO DO RED LIGHT THERAPY AT NIGHT OR MORNING?

There’s no specific rule on when it’s the best time to use RLT. It’s entirely up to you, whether you want to start or end your day with the red light therapy. Both the timings have their benefits.

If you start your day with RLT, you will feel more energized and in an enhanced mood. Plus, it will also assist in regulating your circadian rhythm. If you are going with evening time, RLT will release stress, promote relaxation, and prepare your body for a restful night’s sleep.

Select the time as per your condition, if you are having trouble sleeping evening time is the best, but if you always feel low try the RLT in the morning.

2. IS 30 MINUTES OF RLT TOO MUCH?

Yes, using RLT for 30 minutes would be too much. Ideally, you should use RLT for a maximum of 10 to 15 minutes per session every other day. Studies prove using RLT devices for more than that have adverse effects like blisters and burns on legs, thighs, arms, and even shoulder and chest. (19)

3. HOW SOON DO YOU SEE RESULTS FROM RLT?

The visible results vary depending on the condition you are treating. However, you might feel glowing skin, higher energy levels, and mood enhancement even after one session. However, as you continue using therapy, you will see improvement in your condition as weeks go by.

4. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NEAR- AND FAR-INFRARED LIGHT THERAPY AND WHAT WAVELENGTHS ARE INVOLVED?

Near-infrared (NIR) and far-infrared (FIR) light therapy are both forms of light therapy that use different wavelengths within the infrared spectrum. The primary difference lies in the range of wavelengths they cover.

• Near-Infrared (NIR) Light Therapy:

◊ Wavelength Range: Typically, NIR light therapy covers the range of approximately 700 to 1100 nanometers (nm).

◊ Penetration: NIR light penetrates the skin more deeply than visible light, reaching tissues and cells beneath the surface.

◊ Applications: NIR light therapy is commonly used for various therapeutic purposes, including promoting cellular repair, reducing inflammation, and aiding in wound healing. It has applications in skin care, pain management, and even in promoting recovery in athletes.

• Far-Infrared (FIR) Light Therapy:

◊ Wavelength Range: Far-infrared light therapy generally covers wavelengths beyond 3000 nm, often in the range of 3000 to 100,000 nm.

◊ Penetration: FIR light is known for its ability to penetrate even deeper into tissues, reaching the muscles and joints. It’s often associated with generating heat within the body.

◊ Applications: FIR light therapy is frequently used for its heat-producing properties and is utilized in saunas and heat therapy devices. It can help with muscle relaxation, improve circulation, and relieve joint pain.

5. IS RED LIGHT CONTRAINDICATED FOR CANCER CELLS?

There is no evidence that red light therapy causes cancer. According to the National Institute of Cancer, Near-infrared photoimmunotherapy uses an antibody–photo absorber conjugate that binds to cancer cells. When near-infrared light is applied, the cells swell and then burst, causing the cancer cells to die. Photoimmunotherapy is in clinical trials in patients with inoperable tumors.

6. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A RED LIGHT YOU BUY AT TRACTOR SUPPLY AS A HEAT LAMP AND AN RLT?

Both Tractor Supply heat lamps and RLT devices emit red light, they have different purposes, light spectra, and intensities. The heat lamp is primarily for warmth, and the light spectrum is not optimized for therapeutic effects, whereas RLT devices are specifically designed for therapeutic applications using controlled and specific wavelengths of light. If you are considering red light therapy for its therapeutic benefits, it’s recommended to use a device specifically designed for that purpose.

7. DOES RLT HELP SOMEONE WITH MYASTHENIA GRAVIS?

Red light therapy has been found to reduce inflammation, which can be beneficial for managing these conditions. The therapy achieves this by influencing cellular processes that control inflammation. By doing so, it can help to alleviate symptoms and improve the quality of life for those living with autoimmune diseases. (20)

8. DOES RLT HELP WITH PARKINSON’S?

A study published in the National Library of Medicine in 2022 found that the result of a meta-analysis shows strong evidence that LT has significant efficacy on motor and non-motor function in Parkinson’s Disease patients. (21)

9. DOES RED LIGHT THERAPY HELP WITH ALOPECIA AREATA?

Researchers found that exposing hair follicles to 650 nm red light had a positive effect. This light seemed to play a role in promoting hair growth and reversing the miniaturization process associated with androgenetic alopecia (AGA) (22)

10. DOES RED LIGHT THERAPY WORK FOR WEIGHT LOSS?

There have been multiple studies showing the loss in inches after each session. In some studies, it’s 0.8 inches, and in others, the loss ranges between 1.1 to 3.5 inches. This loss in inches is between the period of 2 to 6 weeks of sessions. The conclusion is it is safe to use light therapy for fat loss, but how much weight you can lose is still uncertain. (23)

CHAPTER 8 CONCLUSION

Medicines we take for every little thing, be it back pain or skin problems have hundreds of side effects. When we have natural and non-invasive Red Light Therapy for such issues, it’s not worth taking the risk of taking medications.

Red Light Therapy has been there between us for more than a century, but it was too good to be true. Even after winning a Nobel Prize in 1905 for groundbreaking discovery in RLT, the Danish physician refused to practice it because of the lack of clarity in its mechanism.

Recently, Red Light Therapy has gained popularity as one of the most effective and non-invasive treatments. In the beginning, it was only used for skin rejuvenation, but now it is also used to reduce the side effects caused due to harmful cancer treatments.

In this eBook, I walked you through the details of Red Light Therapy from what it is, its history, and even the science backing it. Moreover, you also read about the benefits of RLT and how it can assist in reversing cancer, autoimmune diseases, and chronic conditions.

You also read about using RLT devices at home to get the maximum benefit from it. Remember, natural and alternative treatments like RLT can help you heal without any side effects if used correctly.

“Let’s talk about the effects that are known and published by every medical journal on Earth that I’ve seen that red light therapeutics or light therapies can help to diffuse the proliferative growth of cancer cells they call tumors, polyps, cysts, lesions. They know and do publish that light therapy which includes infrared light is able to dissolve, it appears, tumors and masses in the body they’re calling cancers. But you don’t hear about that. You’ll hear about chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery as your only options. Why? If you’re already making trillions of dollars a year around the world with this tech, why would you change it? You can study it, but why would you tell anybody you already make trillions off of chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery? Why in the world would you want to shoot yourself in the foot and tell people you can cure them with light?” - Dr. Bryan Ardis
