Restoring and Regulating the Body’s Energy Production
by Dr. Petra DavelaarWhen I* was 23, my dad passed away from brain cancer. Many years later, my mom was also diagnosed with cancer. I just knew we were missing something huge in the whole cancer story. “Not again!” I said and went to work with a laser-like focus and have not stopped. I have since consulted with many Cancer Survivors and Patients as well as those seeking to Prevent Cancer –– and all other chronic diseases –– implementing the key aspects fundamental to efficient energy production.
Dr. Petra Davelaar is a naturopathic doctor who specializes in Deutenomics. She completed her naturopathic medical training at Bastyr University and is certified in functional medicine and nutrition. She is an invited reviewer for several scientific periodicals, including Scientific Reports, a Nature group research journal, as well as Medical Oncology, a Springer journal.
Lack of energy is the core of all disease including cancer.
Factors of Energy Production
We regulate energy production by increasing the quality and quantity of metabolic water production (Matrix water). We produce 10x the energy from metabolic water synthesis than from ATP synthesis. We use the Metabolic Approach; Deuterium** Regulation is at the center of this.
We have approximately 1027 hydrogen atoms in our body. That means we have a lot of deuterium (1.5123). We want these deuterons in the right places.
We want deuterons in structural proteins (collagen, bone, etc). We do not want deuterons in moving proteins (enzymes, electron carriers like NAD+). We do not want deuterons inside of mitochondria, this will cause metabolic crowding (Warburg Metabolism), this is the cause of cancer.
Think of Deuterium like a bull in a china shop if it is in the mitochondria. However, Deuterium in structured proteins is like a bull pulling a plow.
We have to lower the amount of deuterium coming in. We do that by identifying high deuterium fluids and foods and reducing them where possible. Deuterium is found in water, food, air (10% of what we inhale is hydrogen). We can help facilitate the body excrete and regulate excess levels.
Deuterium (D) is known as heavy hydrogen. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe and paramount to energy production.
Deuterium is the stable isotope of hydrogen (another version):
○ Twice as heavy
○ Twice as large
○ 100% difference
○ 1 of 6600 hydrogen atoms is a deuterium (deuteron)
Drink the best quality water:
○ Spring
○ Glacier
○ Distilled
○ RO
○ Consume according to thirst (not bodyweight in ounces)
The Foundation of Health How to Reenergize Your Body
by Dr. Petra DavelaarConsume low-deuterium food:
○ Best quality natural fats (this is why keto works)
○ Best quality natural animal proteins
○ Green and above ground-grown vegetables (photosynthesis lowers D)
○ Consume foods that are local and seasonal
Create Prosperity Zones, or precious networks in your local community where people support one another in living according to these principles, pull together resources, delegate shared responsibilities, make policy change, and establish independent food sources based on regenerative farming practices that restore soils.
Avoid high-deuterium food:
○ Vegetable oils (canola, corn, soy, sunflower etc)
○ Sugar
○ Grains
○ Starchy vegetables
○ Modernized Fruits (these are completely different than fruits of 100+ years ago)
Avoid disabling agents, such as glyphosate, industrial oils, processed foods, excess electromagnetic frequencies and radiation.
Know that we are electrical Beings of water regulated and fueled by (sun)light and require full spectrum sun light for optimal health (go outside, be in nature, etc).
Mineralize your body with unrefined salts and key trace minerals when deficient.
Slow down your breathing rate to optimize gas exchange (meditate, breath work, walk, natural movement exercise, etc).
Optimize your sleep environment, no light, have access to fresh air, and ensure adequate duration for restorative sleep.
Use temperature flux to increase energy, heat (sauna, mineral baths) and cold (water, air), increase resilience to be able to tolerate a greater spread of temperature.
