His work included a wide range of procedures, including minimally invasive techniques. His work includes complex procedures such as total arterial myocardial revascularisation, ECMO implantation, and aortic valve repair. He is also involved with the Scottish National Thoraco-Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm and Complex Aortic Service, which provides specialized care for patients with aortic conditions. Dr. Giordano significantly contributed to the field in 2020 by developing a port-access approach for aortic valve replacement using a mini right anterior thoracotomy, making his center the first in Scotland to use this technique.
