It’s time to explore Panama City! Panama is full of color, adventure, history, and culture. On this trip, we’ll get to experience all of it! Whatever you do, don’t miss out.
Our trip begins by taking a flight to Panama City, where we will transfer to our Gamboa Rainforest Resort for a three-night stay. The following day, we will step back in time as our group boards an excursion boat for an escorted trip on the Chagres River to an Emberá indigenous village. This is a unique opportunity to interact and meet the Emberá, one of seven indigenous groups from Panama. Next, we cruise into Gatun Lake for a wildlife tour as the group will look for exotic birds, sloths, and different species of monkeys. The next day should be the highlight of our trip as we board the Pacific Queen for a partial transit of the Panama Canal. Cruising the Gaillard Cut through the Continental Divide, we come to Pedro Miguel Locks, where you can view the Centennial Bridge over the Canal. Once in the Pacific Ocean, the vessel will sail to the beautiful Flamenco Marina where passengers disembark. On the way to Flamenco, you will be able to admire the Bay of Panama and Panama City’s splendorous skyline. During our trip, we will also attend a rainforest tour where we will see local orchids, native frogs, butterflies, and the sloth sanctuary. Towards the end of our trip, we will hop on a train ride from Panama City to Colon and then spend some time enjoying the views at historic Casco Viejo before returning home.
