WICKER PARK OVERVIEW The Chicago Wicker park Bloomingdale trail is an asset to the corner site providing more than two frontages and a dead end street which is Wimont Ave. The program consisted of one hundred and forty square feet including a grocery story, health club, parking garage and residential area. I sought to create a flexible and dynamic project to positively impact the neighborhood. Based on research and visits to the site one side of the neighborhood, to the south of Milwaukee Ave, is more commercial and noisy therefore. however the upper part along leaving and north of the trail feels more quite and is filled with residentail buildings.

DESIGNING FOR DISASTER
NATURAL DISASTERS OVERVIEW
VULNERABLE AREAS By looking at the data maps, one realizes that most of the natural disasters occur in the tropics between 23˚ N and 23˚S. Whether it’s the faults of earthquakes or floods, it is located in that specific band. This area also has the highest population density in comparison to other parts of the globe with an estimate of 60-65% the total globe population. Therefore in order to mitigate the effects of future natural disasters, we’re looking to respond specifically to that area.
