Dear friends, Welcome to the Temple Theater! Since opening in October 2002, the Temple Theater has become an important fixture in the live entertainment scene in Central Iowa and a cornerstone of the Western Gateway revitalization. It is undoubtedly one of the best small performance spaces in Des Moines. Des Moines Performing Arts is dedicated to bringing the finest in professional theater and entertainment to our area. We’re very grateful to Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino for supporting our programming. And we especially appreciate the support of our loyal Temple Comedy Series Season Ticket Holders. WHO’S WHO in the CAST KATIE CAUSSIN (Gwen) grew up in Springfield, VA and received her degree in Theater from Radford University. She started performing with The Second City as a member of the National Touring Company umpteen years ago, and has worked on buckets of shows with them since. In Chicago she has improvised at ComedySportz, iO Theater, and has performed at and teaches improvisation for The Annoyance Theater. She has also performed at the Magnet Theater in NYC and worked on the Onion Network’s “Special Report.” Follow Katie on Twitter @katiecaussin.

Stupid Fucking Bird (“Mash”). She has acted with Chicago Shakespeare, Steppenwolf, The Goodman, The Guthrie, Jeune Lune, and Vintage Theater Collective. She is an artistic associate with Sideshow Theatre, a stakeholder in the Backroom Shakespeare Project, and a cheerleader with the band Mucca Pazza. She graduated with a BFA from the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater Actor Training Program. Jackson Evans (Randy Bowen) is thrilled to be a part of this cast with these lovely and real ladies. Amy Young (u/s C.L./Gwen/Desiree/Ravonka) is completely delighted to be a part of this tour. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, she graduated with a degree in Theatre from Northwestern University. She originated the role of Kaci Lynn in It Came From Kentucky at the Annoyance Theater and frequently performs with Harold team Stag at iO Chicago. Amy is a proud graduate of The Second City Conservatory. She writes and directs video shorts with her sketch team, That Just Happened.

Lori McClain (Ravonka) was born in Toledo, OH and received her BFA in Acting from Wright State University. She performed with The Second City Touring Company, and in 2004 her touring company performed for the USO in Iraq. Improv credits: Sirens, ComedySportz, Whose Chorus Line Is It Anyway? and The Improvised Sondheim Project. Among favorite scripted roles: ”Xena Warrior Princess” in Xena Live! and as “Patti Blagojevich” in Rod Blagojevich Superstar for The Second City. She is also a voice-over actor and jazz vocalist. lorimcclain.com

Kate James (Writer) is a Chicago-based comedy writer and improvisor. Second City projects include writing for The Second City Guide to the Opera, and The Art of Falling, with The Second City and Hubbard Street Dance. She is a founding member of the sketch comedy group Schadenfreude. The group had a self-titled radio show for two years on Chicago Public Radio (WBEZ). Kate has appeared on “Shameless” (Showtime), “Playing House” (USA) and in a viral video where she plays a very drunk Cubs fan. Tim Sniffen (Writer) hails from Bayville, NY on the north shore of Long Island... so he knows a thing or two about the wealthy housewife lifestyle. Tim has written and performed with The Second City since 2007, and worked with Kate James on The Second City Guide to the Opera, a show with far less wine throwing. Lindsey Pearlman (Brooke) is a Chicago native. Favorite past productions include Never The Bridesmaid with Polarity Theatre (Jeff Award - Actress in a Principal Role), The Mousetrap with Northlight Theatre (Time Out Magazine Theatre Award Nominee - Best Supporting Actress), Trevor with A Red Orchid Theatre, and many, many more. Eric Hoff (Director) is a director and producer of new plays and musicals. He directed the soldout run of Hit The Wall at Steppenwolf Garage, which transferred to Barrow Street Theatre OffBroadway. He is an Artistic Associate at About Face Theatre, where he directed WHAT’S THE T? and produced The Woyzeck Project. He has

He is the creator and producer of REVIVAL, which has entertained thousands on the Pritzker Pavilion Stage in downtown Chicago’s Millennium Park.

John Kelly (Lighting Designer) is a lighting designer in Chicago who was worked with companies including Victory Gardens, The Hypocrites, About Face, Theatre Wit, The Ruffians, The Neofuturists, The Ruckus, Strawdog Theatre, Lifeline Theatre, Stage773 and Underscore Theatre. He is an ensemble member with Strawdog Theatre where he will be designing Love and a Major Organ, The Long Christmas Ride Home, In a Word, Robinhood and Maid Merrian and D.O.A. this season.

William Collins (Production Stage Manager/ Company Manager) is very excited to join this production of The Realish Housewives: A Parody. William is a freelance stage manager in Chicago where his credits include work with Redmoon Theater (The Cabinet, Sink.Sank.Sunk), Drury Lane Oakbrook, Paramount Theatre (My Fair Lady), The Chicago Humanities Festival, About Face Theatre, First Folio, Windy City Playhouse and The Goodman Theatre (Other Desert Cities) and the Chicago premier of Unspeakable: A Dramatic Fantasia at the Broadway Playhouse. William has also spent five seasons stage managing for Peninsula Players Theatre in Door County, Wisconsin.

Theresa Akers (Scenic Design) is an interdisciplinary performance designer focusing on building new and interesting multimedia compositions applying sound, light, and spatial storytelling elements in immersive collaborations. She has designed productions with theatre powerhouses Bedlam for Hire, Mu Performing Arts, Freshwater Theatre, Workhaus Collective, and Hennepin Theatre Trust. A graduate of NYU’s Gallatin Program for Spatial Psychology and Visual Design, she is excited to bring her interdisciplinary work in building the world for The Realish Housewives: A Parody.

AARON HEETER (Technical Director) is pleased to join the company of The Realish Housewives: A Parody. TV/ Film credits include “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” “The Steve Harvey Show,” “The Wolf of Wall Street,” “The Other Woman,” “Hostages,” and “Money Monster.” Chicago theatre: Wicked, The Cherry Orchard (Steppenwolf), The Dresser, Winesburg Ohio, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Altar Boyz. Mieka van der Ploeg (Costume Designer) has designed costumes for a variety of Chicago theaters, including The Hypocrites, About Face Theatre, Theater Wit, Griffin Theatre, Next Theatre, The Building Stage, the House Theatre, Albany Park Theater Project, Dog and Pony Theatre, RedTwist Theatre, Pegasus Players, the side project, and Filament Theatre Ensemble. Further credits include wig and make-up work at The Lyric Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, and the Goodman Theatre.

Katharine Horowitz (Sound Design) is a theatrical sound designer based in the Twin Cities, MN. With a focus on layered effects and soundscapes, Katharine has designed criticallyacclaimed and award-winning shows for Mixed Blood Theatre, Pillsbury House Theatre, Penumbra Theatre, and Park Square Theatre in the Twin Cities, Great River Shakespeare Festival, Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theatre (Wellfleet,
