This Jubilant committee has enthusiastically served the region for the past sorority year and is eagerly preparing for the upcoming regional conference. We are small in number
but large in merit. In the past year we have processed the applications submitted by chapters for the Delta Dear of the month and submitted a Sorors name monthly.
From those names, the Delta Dear of the year will be selected and presented during the Regional Conference in Phoenix, Arizona. We have entertained the Delta Dears in a book conversation virtual activity with Soror Marguerite Archie Hudson that elicited high attendance hosted by Sorors McGhee and Dr. Sampson along with program participants Rhodes and Williams. Our final activity, “Hats on for Tea” will take place during the regional conference and hosted by Madden, Coleman, Jeffries and Williams along with the regional conference Delta Dear committee members.
As a committee, we thank our Regional Director, Tracy Richard Aikens for entrusting this committee’s task to us. We also thank the Regional Secretary Soror L. Black, Tech Team Sorors L. Cobb and T. Williams for their help in securing the needed virtual space.

Sisterhood Pop-Up/Delta DEAR Community Connection Activities
Submitted by Soror Anya Burgess
The Arizona West Valley Alumnae Chapter, determined to make Sisterhood, Scholarship and Service the forefront everything they do, decided to spend their non-working Delta time together by create social events, that would allow the chapter members to come together in a nonformal setting to get to know each other while supporting local vendors. From this idea, the membership services committee under the leadership of Soror Octavia Madden created a monthly Sisterhood PopUp activity for sorors to relax, and recharge. Each month the sorors attended, and brought their families to the designated local restaurant, bowling, and our most recent event was poolside yoga taught by Soror Maxine White, certified yoga instructor at a health club. This activity is a huge success where over 30 sorors, family members, and community guests have participated in various activities.
While this has been taking place, the Delta DEARS have also connected with each other in a non-Delta business environment, and hosts monthly luncheons at a designated sorors house where chapter members Anya Burgess, Octavia Madden, and Maxine White cater the event while enjoying stories of Delta history.
With sisterhood at its core, DST AWVAC is on track to do great things in the community.
