WITH LOVE FROM DTLA
Spreading joy on Valentine’s Day
On February 14, the DTLA Alliance continued its tradition of spreading joy on Valentine’s Day with our second annual flower giveaway. Dubbed “With Love from DTLA,” the event was designed to create a welcoming atmosphere, by distributing 1,500 free roses to office workers, residents, and visitors across the District. Sourced from the California Flower Mall, roses were handed out by the DTLA Alliance Team with help from our friends at Bank of America Plaza, The Bloc, City National Plaza, FourFortyFour South Flower, Maguire Gardens, and US Bank Tower.
New this year, live jazz from The Pepper Moons set the mood at the newly opened Settecento restaurant in Maguire Gardens, alongside a special Valentine’s Day photo op in the park,
inviting Downtown workers and visitors alike to capture the moment. Keep your eyes open for more events like With Love from DTLA designed to surprise and delight Downtowners.

THE DTLA STORY
As Downtowners, it’s frustrating that the good things happening in DTLA don’t get the coverage they deserve. To right that wrong, we’re introducing The DTLA Story - a monthly spotlight on all that’s great about Downtown and a platform for sharing it far and wide. For the first edition we’re connecting the dots on key trends shaping DTLA: arts & culture’s influence, our vibrant culinary scene, retail innovations, and the growth of the residential community. Sign up to follow the story! More at DowntownLA.com/DTLAstory

The variety of stories include trends in our vibrant culinary scene.

TRENDS + OUTLOOK BREAKFAST
In March, we hosted the Second Annual DTLA Alliance Trends & Outlook Breakfast at the Central Library’s beautiful Mark Taper Auditorium. Anchored by our newly released DTLA 2025 Outlook & Insights Report, the event was designed to connect with Downtown professionals and covered a range of topics including market trends, new restaurants and businesses, survey results, and opportunities to engage with the next phase of DTLA’s revitalization. The audience of over 130 attendees provided overwhelmingly positive feedback, with 96% expressing increased optimism about DTLA’s future.

HOSPITALITY
BREAKFAST
The hospitality sector is vital to the success of Downtown LA and has faced significant challenges over the past few years. We’re at a moment of great opportunity leading up to the FIFA World Cup, LA28, and other major events. Recognizing the sector’s importance, we hosted representatives of all the hotels in our District for breakfast at Settecento to discuss their priorities, ensure that we are responsive to their needs, and facilitate greater collaboration and coordination.

REPORTS & RESEARCH

DTLA 2025 Outlook & Insights Report
The DTLA Alliance’s 2025 Outlook & Insights Report is our annual update on the state of Downtown Los Angeles, combining our signature survey of residents, workers, and visitors with detailed economic and demographic data to present a comprehensive picture of DTLA as a market – and a community. This year’s report demonstrates both the continued enthusiasm for DTLA and frustration about progress on critical concerns.
2024 Year End Market Report
Our Quarterly Market Report provides a comprehensive overview of the DTLA office, residential, retail, and hospitality markets, with key statistics, transactions, market trends, insights, and the pipeline of projects in development. Our Year End report was highlighted by the opening of Alloy, the Arts District megaproject, along with Hiro House, a condo project in Little Tokyo, and The Weingart Tower, a permanent supportive housing development in the Industrial District.
