Chief Olisa Metuh, to bail in the sum of N400 million. Metuh, who is standing trial on seven-count criminal charge for alleged breach of trust, diversion of public fund and laundering

the sum of N400 million, was brought to court premises in handcuff. However, the PDP on Tuesday condemned the handcuffing of Metuh, describing the action as ‘brazen display

of authoritarianism’ by the All Progressives Congress (APC) federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari. Justice Okon Abang granted the PDP spokesman

bail in a bench ruling after Chief Chris Uche (SAN) moved the bail application that was vehemently opposed by Sylvanus Tahir, counsel to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commis-

sion (EFCC). Justice Abang ruled that the defendant who is facing seven-count charge for laundering N400 million meant for arms procurement should produce two sureties with N200 million each to secure the bail. Continued on page 6
