on Tuesday submitted a three-year, Medium Term Expenditure Frame-

work (MTEF) to the Senate, proposing a budget of N6.04 trillion for the fiscal year of 2016. The Framework by Buhari indicated the preparedness of his gov-

ernment to fund a social welfare programme to the tune of N500 billion to the benefit of needy Nigerians. The amount, as indicated in the Framework is to cover school feed-

ing that the Federal Government would re-introduce highway tolling to raise additional funds to finance road maintenance, increase electricity tariff and construct 17, 760 flats nationwide to address housing deficit. Fashola, at his first news con-

ference tagged ``Setting the Agenda for Delivering Change”, noted that electricity tariffs, particularly in populous areas and industrial clusters would increase when the new rates are unveiled. The minister stated that the government would prioritise the

completion of ongoing power projects and would consider setting up embedded power generation stations in commercial centres in various states. He said, “We will want state governments to help us identify and enumerate the very populous,
