Members Survey 2011 Results Summary


In total 109 surveys were received from Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club Members compared to 39 in 2010


Membership • The service to members by staff and management was rated by the majority of members as excellent, over 90% rated service as excellent or good. • The majority of members rated the value for money, approachability of management and communication methods as good.

Member Tournaments • The majority of members were satisfied with member tournaments in terms of organisation, value for money, website booking and frequency of member tournaments throughout the year. • The lowest scoring question was the variety of tournaments throughout the year which was rated by the majority of members as average.


Golf Course • The majority of members rated the golf course as good, over 83% rated the general presentation of the course as either good or excellent. The lowest results in this category were received for the overall presentation of the lakes.

Which Dubai Golf course do use most frequently

• 91% of members said that they used the Dubai Creek championship course most frequently of the Dubai Golf courses. • The majority of members rated the Creek course as their favourite Dubai Golf and their favourite course in the UAE. 91.2% 4.4% 2.2%

• The Majlis was voted the second most popular course in the UAE with over 15% of members choosing it as their favourite course and Yas Links was third with just over 18% of members choosing it as their favourite course.

Golf Operations • Over 52% of members play night golf on the floodlit Faldo and almost 60% of players rate the experience as excellent or good. • 63% of members play the Par 3 course less than 10 times per year and 20% play the course more than 20 times per year. • Most members rated availability of member tee times and the general facilities in the locker rooms as good. • Almost 62% rated the receptionists at the club as excellent and over 96% rated them as good or excellent.


Pro Shop • Almost all areas of the Pro Shop were rated as good by the majority of members with the exception overall value for money which was rated by most members as average.


Academy • 41% of members surveyed have taken lessons at The Academy in the past 12 months and most are satisfied with the selection of lessons, value for money and the quality of practice facilities at the Club. • Almost 49% rated the teaching Pro’s at the club as excellent and over 95% rated them as good or excellent.


Food & Beverage

Overall dining experience

• Over 80% rated the food quality at Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club as good or excellent and just under 60% felt that the members social events were either excellent or good. • More than 80% of members said that their dining experience overall was excellent or good. • The on course facilities are rated by the majority of members as good. • In 2012 almost 60% of members intend on using Lake View most frequently and almost 19% plan to dine at Legends more than any other Dubai Creek outlet.

• Over 58% of members use the recreation facilities and over 83% rate the facilities and equipment as good or excellent.

• Over 85% rate the recreation staff as good or excellent.

Marina

7.5%

• 4% of members make use of the facilities at the Marina. • 13% of members attended the 2011 Dubai Pre-owned Boat Show and 58% rated the event as excellent or good.

Communication • Almost 90% rate the frequency of communication as about right and most would like to be communicated to once a week. • Just over half of members use facebook and almost 94% rate email as the preferred method of communication. • 67% of members use the Dubai Golf website.
