Happy New Year! I hope you enjoyed the winter break and are looking forward a prosperous year ahead. The end of January sees the Omega Dubai Desert Classic return to Emirates Golf Club for its 25th anniversary. With a fantastic field including previous winners Rory McIlroy, Henrik Stenson and Tiger Woods, this is one golfing event not to be missed! We also have a host of exciting new dining promotions for the New Year. M’s restaurant will be hosting Ladies Night every Tuesday, all ladies are invited to enjoy two complimentary beverages and a further 20% discount on the night. February sees the launch of Rewind on Wednesdays in Spike Bar, taking you back to the disco decades with food and music from days gone by. The Academy offers a great range of lesson packages to suit all levels of golfer. If you are a new to golf, sign up for our Learn Golf In A Week programme, providing an excellent introduction to the game of golf. Alternatively, our Golf Professionals are available for individual and group lessons between 6.30am and 10.30pm daily. 2014 Omega Dubai Desert Classic Get ready for the biggest golfing event of the year. The Omega Dubai Desert Classic takes place from 27th January to 2nd February 2014. Group Lessons Learning golf in a new environment can be fun and cost effective. Allow us to welcome you and your friends to our Golf Academy in one of our group lessons. Learn Golf In A Week Learn Golf In A Week is The Academy’s signature beginners’ group programme and provides an excellent introduction to the game of golf. Spread across a week, you will receive a total of four hours of instruction in a maximum group size of ten ensuring that receive the necessary support from your qualified golf professional to establish your golfing skills. The course covers the basic set-up fundamentals and golf swing mechanics, body motion and ball striking and the art of the shortgame with pitching, chipping and putting. The course runs weekly. Padeltennis is a relatively new, but increasingly popular sport, involving a stringless racquet on a court smaller than a tennis court. It brings together a combination of other racquet sports, such as tennis, real tennis and squash. The team at Real Racquet Academy are offering free trials with a dedicated coach every Saturday. This one hour free trial to all first-time players covers the basics of the game, including rules and scoring. Come down and give it a go!
