Dubbo Regional Council comprises the communities and villages of Dubbo and Wellington. Dubbo is a thriving regional Australian city at the intersection of major routes for road, rail and air transport. The city has a population of over 42,000 and services a geographical area one-third of NSW. Wellington, with a population of about 5000, is nestled at the foothills of the Mt Arthur Reserve on the banks of the Macquarie and Bell Rivers and is the second-oldest town west of the Blue Mountains.
