Let It Go Treasures New 4 U is a new resale shop opening Dec 2 2024 on JFK road in Dubuque offering new and gently used items.

Marie (Lenz) Shaw, age 62 of Rockford, IL and formally of Dubuque, IA completed her life’s journey on November 13, 2024 after a short battle with cancer. Kathy died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and friends. We know she is now in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, exactly where she always dreamed she would be.

Kathy was always cheerful and positive. Her attitude, motivating spirit and infectious smile would bring anyone she knew to be their very best. She lived her life totally dedicated to the Lord and giving and caring for those around her. She will always be remembered for the encouraging words and thoughtful blessings she shared. Kathy will be forever missed and will always have a place in our hearts.

She loved God first, but then add lots of humor, laughter, travel journeys and sprinkle in a little politics and you will know Kathy best. She loved life.

In honor of Kathy’s life here on this earth, there will be a celebration of life ceremony at the Calvary Baptist Church located at 6286 Linden Road in Rockford, IL on November 30th at 2:00 PM.

Kathy is survived by her husband Mike Shaw, her son Tim (Jackie) and daughter Ashley. Grandchildren Lily, Leah and Amias. Her mother Jeanette (Lenz) Wampler and Siblings Dan (Cathy) Lenz of Benard IA, Ken Lenz of Cuba City WI, Rich (Pam) Lenz of Centralia IA and Margie (James) Gaylord of Dubuque IA. Kathy was preceded in death by her father Willard Lenz of Dubuque and brothers Larry of Dubuque and Chuck of Rockford, IL. We want to give a special thank you for being there for Kathy in her final days to Hospice of Rockford, her sister and best friend
