This is my 4-month final project, which is located in a planned residential development on a sloping hill overlooking the East sea below. The site has such a unique ecosystem of savanna embracing an eroded cleft that from the first field trip, I could figure out some initial solutions and concepts for this project. In some visits and studies later on, it was revealed that the plants there are also genetically distinct. I decided to preserve the whole clefts and the surrounding area of foliage to make use of the roots decreasing the erosion and allow people to walk in and explore the fascinating landscape that is formed only in this area of Central Vietnam. Besides, I created various interactive activities, exhibition areas, and a research center on the site to appeal to and educate local people and tourists as well about nature and geology. The active area also circumscribes the preservation zone to nourish the jungle so that erosion is under control. -March 1st, 2019-
