In this Issue: New Member Biographies Sweetheart Biography Hello Delta Upsilon Alumni, My name is Alex Brumfield and I am the current Alumni and Parent Relations officer. I’m a fifth year student from Atlanta, Georgia. First off, I’d like to thank all the alumni that contributed to St. Baldrick’s last year. Our philanthropy chair, Drew Vincent, led the chapter to surpass our previous record by raising over $26,000 for childhood cancer research. We couldn’t have done that without all of the alumni support and we look forward to more great fundraising efforts in the future. Also, I’d like to mention that the undergraduate chapter is hosting an official Alumni event on October 28th from 8-10 P.M. at Ri Ra’s Irish Pub. I n addition to this, we would love to host any Alumni at the tailgate at the Delta Upsilon house the following morning. Kick-off is at noon, so we hope see you there bright and early! Fraternally, Alex Brumfield Alumni & Parent Relations Chair Fall 2012 Pledge Class

Sweetheart Biography
a My name is Matt Wallace and I’m a 5th year double major in business and civil engineering. I am excited to graduate in Fall 2017 and am currently looking for job opportunities in real estate development. As associate member educator, I am responsible for organizing, educating, and acclimating each new pledge class. I joined DU in Spring of 2015, and have enjoyed opportunities ranging from shaving my head to St Baldricks to traveling to New Orleans for Formal. This fall's pledge class started with 11 members. Each of the 11 members have been very active in the fraternity as they work to complete their paddles and move towards initiation. As part of their initiation requirements, the associate members are required to complete a pledge project and pledge event. They hosted a very successful “Throwback Thursday: 90’s Edition” theme party with around two hundred attendees. Prior to initiation, they will also complete their pledge project. Currently they plan to improve the landscaping around the house, with a substantial focus on the eastern portion of the lawn. This plan includes new plantings, improved parking lot access, and a bus stop for tech students waiting for their ride. We look forward to welcoming our Fall 2016 pledge class into the brotherhood on November 5th, 2016 in the chapter room at 11:30am. We are currently looking for a speaker to do a charge regarding what you’ve taken from your experience in Delta Upsilon during Rite-II of imitation. If you’re interested please contact me at matthew_wallace@me.com.
