The French actress, who stars in the summer drama Stillwater opposite Matt Damon, is also the breakout star of the hit French comedy series Call My Agent (which recently concluded its fourth season). This winter, Cottin plays Paola Franchi, girlfriend of the late Maurizio Gucci, in the highly anticipated fashion family drama House of Gucci. We caught up with her at the JW Marriott Cannes.

The Canadian actress is the star of Flag Day, in which she acts opposite and was directed by Sean Penn. In the family drama, Winnick plays Patty Vogel, wife of counterfeiter John Vogel (played by Penn), who battles alcoholism and depression. Winnick is also the star of Big Sky, David E. Kelley’s Montana crime drama, returning for its second season on ABC this fall. Winnick was photographed in her room at the Hôtel Martinez.

The Swedish actress was at the Festival with her film Lamb, playing one half of a childless Icelandic couple (opposite Hilmir Snaer Gudnason) living alone on a remote farm. The discovery of a mysterious newborn on their land brings them together as a family and then ultimately apart. The much-lauded film received a Special Mention award in the Festival’s Un Certain Regard section. Rapace was photographed outside the Hôtel Martinez.

Penn is the 28-year-old son of actor and director Sean Penn. This year, the Penn family descended on Cannes to premiere the drama Flag Day, also starring his sister, Dylan Penn. The adaptation of journalist Jennifer Vogel’s 2005 memoir Flim-Flam Man: The True Story of My Father’s Counterfeit Life, depicts the life of John Vogel, the most notorious counterfeiter (also a bank robber and con man) in U.S. history. The younger Penn, who is also the son of actress and director Robin Wright, plays Vogel’s John Vogel’s son. Penn was photographed in his room at the Hôtel Martinez getting ready for the film’s premiere.
Isabelle FUHRMAN
ACTRESS
The American actress first appeared, at age 10, in the horror film Orphan and went on to appear in the television series Masters of Sex, among other roles. Fuhrman was recently awarded the award for Best Actress in a U.S. Narrative Feature at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival for her performance in the film The Novice. Fuhrman’s performance, as a college freshman who joins the rowing team, and the film have garnered critical acclaim and awards buzz. Fuhrman was photographed in and around her local apartment.

The Australian actress was at the Cannes Film Festival with her film De Son Vivant, in which she plays a mother dealing with a seriously ill son in his final year. George also stars with Justin Theroux in the Apple TV+ original series The Mosquito Coast, which has been renewed for a second season. George was photographed in her room at the Hôtel Le Canberra.

One of the most famous American models on the scene, Hadid always makes her presence at Cannes known (see her Schiaparelli Haute Couture lung necklace gown). We spent time with her at Chopard’s Paradise Dinner on the pontoon of the Hôtel Martinez.

The French actress is no stranger to the Cannes Film Festival. In 2014, she starred in the comingof-age film Respire, directed by Mélanie Laurent, which was presented at the Cannes Film Festival.

The Florence Foster Jenkins and The Big Bang Theory actor was in Cannes for the world premiere of the drama Annette, in which he stars alongside Adam Driver and Marion Cotillard. The film’s French director, Leos Carax, took home the Best Director prize for the film, which opened the festival. Helberg, who plays the musical accompanist to Cotillard’s opera star, was photographed at the Hotel Barrière Le Majestic.
