Hampton Court House is an award-winning school nestled in Bushy Park near East Molesey on the South West London and Surrey borders
We are an independent co-educational day school for ages 2 – 18, educating Early Years children in our Pre-Prep School & Nursery, The Little Courtiers, up to students in Year 13 The majority of our pupils elect to stay on to complete their full education with us, enjoying great success in their GCSEs and A Levels: in 2024, 30% of A Level grades were awarded A*/A, resulting in a 100% Russell Group application success rate Our GCSE results were equally strong Over 50% of all grades awarded were grades 9-8 (A*) with 31% attaining a grade 9 (top 1/3 of A*) 76% of all GCSE grades were awarded 9-7 (A*/A) Hampton Court House was in 2022 ranked in the top 50 independent schools nationwide (The Telegraph) and in 2024 we were shortlisted for London Independent School of the Year in the Independent School Parent Awards
We lay the foundations of a lifelong love of learning, and it is important to us that children enjoy being here and look forward to coming to school In keeping with our ethos, we believe that children need some guided freedom in order to develop their independence and confidence to use their voice Our non-uniform parkland campus environment, in which staff and pupils alike are addressed on a first-name basis, cultivates an energy where pupils grow in confidence and find themselves
Our programmes offer an extraordinary education From the extensive Beyond the Classroom trips and enrichment programme including the Arctic Expedition and Camp HCH, to the Nebula Future Researcher’s Programme© in the Sixth Form, Courtiers get a headstart every step of the way

Interviews at Hampton Court House are an informal conversation with a member of the school leadership team that usually last between 15 - 20 minutes per candidate Interviews are an informal and relaxed opportunity for candidates and the school to learn more about each other. Occasionally we will also run a short group activity session immediately prior to individual interviews
At this stage of your admissions journey, offer letters will be issued.
Hampton Court House is academically selective; the issuance of an offer letter is at the sole discretion of the school and subject to the candidate successfully meeting the eligibility criteria and requisite assessment grade if applicable, in addition to a satisfactory interview
Acceptance of your offer is required by 6 March 2025 accompanied by your deposit paid in full (or within 10 days of offer for Pre-Nursery and Nursery in-year admissions).
Hampton Court House pupils enjoy small class sizes, typically around 18 or fewer Consequently, school places are limited and highly competitive We therefore highly recommend early return of your offer acceptance and deposit to secure your child’s place at Hampton Court House

What do pupils wear at Hampton Court House?
We do not have a school uniform because we believe that learning to dress appropriately is an essential part of a well-rounded education We hope that our students will develop a sense of style that suits them and suits their environment, and prepares them well for professional life To that end we have a dress code which we believe sets an appropriate tone without being too prescriptive Clothing and footwear must be clean, well-fitted and in good repair Outdoor wear, including coats, hats and fleeces, may be worn outdoors but not indoors Sportswear, including tracksuits, may only be worn on designated sports days, and our PE kit is worn for off-site PE lessons in the senior school For further detailed information, please refer to the Dress Code which can be found on our website under Parent Information
How do you get to Hampton Court House?
In addition to our school bus service, the details of which can be found on our website, Hampton Court House is well served by a variety of TFL transport links, enabling our older students to travel safely and independently to school, learning to manage their time and schedules effectively and developing their confidence ahead of their higher education journeys
Bus
Hampton Court House is a short walking distance from the Chestnut Avenue and Hampton Court Green bus stops, served by bus routes 111 (Heathrow Central), 411 (West Molesey) and 216 (Staines) to and from Kingston Station Additionally, the R68 route goes directly to and from Richmond Station
Train
Hampton Court Station is a short walk away from Hampton Court House, and is served by the South Western Railway service to and from London Waterloo, which calls at Thames Ditton, Surbiton, Berrylands, New Malden, Raynes Park, Wimbledon, Earlsfield, Clapham Junction, Vauxhall and London Waterloo The service runs every 30 minutes Kingston Station is also conveniently located for Hampton Court House, connected by the aforementioned 111, 411 and 216 bus services
Many of our students opt to enjoy the scenery and safety of the cycle lanes from Hampton, Teddington, Hampton Wick, Kingston, Molesey and beyond There is a dedicated area in the driveway where students can leave their bicycles securely throughout the day
Will you offer more subjects in future?
Given our tailored approach to education at Hampton Court House, students enjoy a wide range of resources with personalised attention Our diverse, expert teaching body is one of these key resources, and if there is enough demand for a subject will we be able to consider adding it to our options Please speak to your child’s school section lead for further information (see key contacts on page 7)
How does the Bilingual Programme work in the Prep School?
Between Years 1 - 4, up to 50% of the curriculum is taught in French The Bilingual Programme is completed at the end of Year 4 With the exception of Language subjects, all lessons from Year 5 upwards are conducted in English by subject specialists, many of whom teach all the way up to A Level
