By January 2023 All Component 1 work ('Natural Forms' Portfolio and 'Portraiture' Portfolio) must be completed (These two portfolios make up 60% of the overall Grade) In January students will receive Component 2 Exam Paper (Externally moderated)

Students will have from January until the Final Exam to complete a portfolio of work on their chosen theme (as set in exam paper)

Students are working on independent projects The teacher agrees with the student's individual tasks for completion each week The tasks set are either written in their portfolios or are available on GC Students should complete 2 3 double page spreads per week

From Christmas, we will offer some additional revision sessions on topics where students need extra support These will take place after school from 1615 1700 They will not be every week but will be advertised well in advance so that students know which topics are being covered and on what dates A timetable for these will be sent out after the mock exams have been marked so that target topics can be identified

Students who want additional help are encouraged to attend Matthew's clinic They are welcome to bring revision work they have completed for feedback or questions they want help completing or can email their subject teacher at least a day in advance asking for additional resources for a particular topic Students who the teacher feels are falling behind may be asked to attend clinics on a compulsory basis and in that case, parents will be informed about nonattendance

Comprehensive revision resources for the whole course have been uploaded to the class Team on MS Teams Students should be regularly checking the Teams folder as new resources will be uploaded when available In addition, students wishing to take triple sciences but who fail to make the appropriate grade in the mock exams will be given an extra pack of work for the Christmas holidays by Thomas who will arrange a re sit exam for them in the first two weeks back

Students have covered 4 out of 5 topics, and they have just started to do past papers to get familiar with the format of the exam and the time they need to complete it , so they can be ready for the Mock During lunch time, they have been doing writing exercises from past papers, learning how to improve this area Soon they will have 1 to 1 speaking sessions at lunch time
