This term fifteen of our Year 9 students took part in the Code Playground online activity organised by Digital Eagles, a Barclays’ initiative to promote coding and to boost digital knowhow.

The coding activity consisted of developing the Rock, Paper, Scissors game using Python programming language. The event was very successful as all the participating students were fully engaged, enjoyed the activity and completed the coding activity.

Similar coding activities will be taking place on a regular basis, with the next coding event scheduled on Monday 13 March. During this coming coding event our Year 9 students will be coding a quiz.

Year 9 students are covering computer programming using Python language in computer science this year. These important coding activities are crucial to boost Year 9 students’ coding skills and to make coding such a fun and enjoyable activity.
