In the Changing Me topic, we will start by exploring how we grow from babies to adults, exploring how the children have changed since being a baby – thinking about what they can do now. We will then introduce key terminology for body parts and how boys and girls have different private parts (further detail will be provided on this in advance, and it will be discussed in the PSHE parent consultation evening with Amy Burgess). We will also explore changes that happen in our lives and the emotions we may experience. The topics are explored in an age-appropriate way, and all lesson plans and resources will be made available to parents at the start of each half term. Each of the lessons are delivered with a mindful approach, meaning there is time for thinking, discussing and reflecting.
