Classroom Supervision
All students in Years 11 and below are supervised by a teacher or TA for all lessons during the day. Students may undertake private study in the Library during study and cover periods. Students in Year 12 and 13 may work unsupervised in school and with parental permission leave the school premises at lunchtime, after having signed out at reception.
Break and Lunch Duties
There is a roster of teacher / TA duties for all areas of the school to which students have access during break periods. The rosters are generated by the leadership teams in Primary and Senior.
Bus Duties
There is a roster of teacher / TA duties for bus arrival and dismissal as part of the duty rota.
Tri ps Supervision
Trips documentation identifies teacher: student ratios for ages, activities and gender. Parents and adults not directly employed by the school must complete an introductory safeguarding course with a school trainer before they may accompany students on trips.
Cover
In the event of teacher absence, a cover teacher is arranged from within the staff (if short notice) and from outside the staff (if advance notice provided and subject to the availability of a suitably qualified member of staff).
