Woodhouse Urban Park is a park built on the site of a demolished set of flats located in South Kilburn, London.

Erect Architecture designed a series of playground equipment structures. They provided conceptual designs, initial construction drawings, and a series of connection details engineered by Entuitive Engineers. From these Duncan & Grove created a 3D model and detailed construction drawings.

The ‘Beanpole’ play structure is designed for younger and less able children, with a clatter bridge, log traverse, and slide.

Placed up on a mound, the ‘Giant Tree’ on the southern boundary of the park is a challenging play structure. The structure was manufactured on site and consisted of a machined round oak subframe held together with a series of steel fin plates, a secondary sawn oak subframe to support the stainless steel nets, slide, fireman’s pole, and thermo treated oak balustrades. The structure was then inspected by an independent play inspector to ensure it was EN 1176 compliant.
