DUNCAN LIVESTOCK PROSPECT STEER AND HEIFER SALE, PART 4 Welcome to the Duncan Livestock Prospect Steer and Heifer Sale. We are offering our 15 best calves. No calves have been sold prior to the sale. We would like to thank our buyers from our 2011 sale. Austin & Ian Drake & Daniel R. Ross, Scott & Matthias Drake, C&C Livestock (Ford & MacQuarrie Families), Glenn Jay (2), Irwin Jay of I F J Farms, Whiskey River Stock Farm (the Loane Family), Jeff Matheson, Spud Island Farms, (the Sanderson Family) (2), Top of the Hill Farm, (the Siddall Family) (2) Bidding Process All bids are to be minimum $50 increments. The bidding process for all cattle runs as a silent auction until a 5 minute warning is given on the animal that sells first and so on. The first lot to sell will be which ever animal has the highest bid in price at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 15th. If there is a tie in price, the animal which is the oldest will sell first. During the final 5 minutes, all bidders can continue to bid on any animal still for sale. After 5 minutes is up, those buyers only with bids in the silent auction on the designated lot will be asked to come forward if they wish to continue bidding in a live bid off for those bidders only. For example on paper, buyer # 100 bid $800 on lot 50, then buyer # 200 bid $850, buyer # 300 bid $900, and before the end of the 5 minute warning, buyer # 400 bids $950. We would then ask buyer #s 100, 200, 300, and 400 to come forward for the live auction. The first option would go to the first bid taken from buyer # 100 for $1000, then next to buyer # 200 for $1050 and so on in $50 increments until one buyer is left who has agreed to the top price. If you have any questions, let us know. Bidders have the option at any time to increase the bidding increment.

Vaccinations All calves were weaned at the end of July. All calves were vaccinated with modified live Pyramid 5 with Presponse and Tasvax 8. All calves were treated with Bimectin at different times during the year. The most recent treatment was on September 3rd. CCIA age verification birth certificates are available on all calves upon request.
