The primary logo is our frontman. · First way to signify our presence in the world · Used in consumer and business facing materials whenever possible as the first port of call · Our clearest visual signpost in the app scene and tech universe · Works on dark and light backgrounds for print and digital both digital formats · Do not reproduce the Shazam logo · Use the official assets provided at brandfolder.com/shazam

Masterbrand Icon. · The Shazam icon is only for use in instances where our brand has already been established or as a signatory mark or avatar. Always use the Masterbrand Logo in any uncertainty · It must always be accompanied by the word 'Shazam' in hero statements or copy · Elements of the icon are fixed and must not be re-proportioned, redrawn, or modified

Scale and proportion are determined by the available space, aesthetics, function, and visibility. There is no maximum size for the Shazam icon.

Mono. Use the Mono Logos and Icons when you need to go old-school because full color versions can’t be used. DIGITAL

Don’t apply a solid background color to the Masterbrand PRINT

icon. Switch it out for a 30% white fill.

Shazam bands together with lots of companies. Use your best judgment when selecting which format to implement. HORIZONTAL

For horizontal or type-based partner logos use the Masterbrand Logo, match heights and separate with a y

clearspace equal to half the height of the logo.

VERTICAL

For vertical or graphic-based partner logos use the Vertical Logo, match heights and separate with a clearspace equal to a third of the height of the logo.

Say hello to LL Circular - the typeface we use to make Shazam beautiful.

An Introduction. Here comes the jargon... Circular strikes a balance between conceptual rigour, skilled workmanship and measured idiosyncrasy, resulting in a no-nonsense sans-serif text font with unmistakable character yet universal appeal.

So there.

USAGE

These guides are to be followed when using Circular internally. When the font isn’t licensed by a partner, fallbacks should be used.

Headlines should be Circular Black, sentence case, ranged left with leading (pt) equal to font size (pt). Tracking is -40.

Body copy should be Circular Book, sentence case, ranged left with leading (pt) equal to font size (pt) × 1.3 Use Bold or Black to intersperse sub-headlines, highlights & links.

Yo, I’m an example paragraph. My body copy is 12pt, so my leading is 12pt × 1.3 = 16pt. I’m gonna put something really important here. Quick tip - if you ever land on a decimal point, then round me up to the nearest whole number. Don’t worry, we hate counting too.

EVER FEEL THE NEED TO SHOUT? US TOO. BUT TRY & CHILL LIKE DAVE. USE CAPS VERY SPARINGLY FOR THE OCCASIONAL TITLE OR LINK. OH, AND MAKE SURE TO TURN THAT TRACKING ALL THE WAY UP TO 20.

Adele’s 2015 return has been an overwhelming success. Records have been broken across the world and she recently hit 3 million Shazams in just 34 days for her single, ‘Hello’.
