Cllr. Reilly had previously highlighted the lack of high speed broadband in the area.

AFTeR a very long time in the planning and more than a few problems along the way, Cllr John Reilly has informed us that a free BCP Wi-Fi point is now available in the Cooley Kickhams complex in Monksland.

This is a tremendous cornerstone, Cllr Reilly says, for the Cooley complex building going forward. The opportunity now exists for a high-speed digital hub which has endless possibilities going forward for the local community.

Coming into politics at the height of the lockdown, Cllr Reilly claims the lack of highspeed broadband in so many rural areas was a disadvantage. A short number of years ago, the concept of working from home was practically non-existent.

The absence of highspeed broadband in any rural area is a hindrance to economic development and growth.

This will all brought about by funding from Minister heather humphreys. her department played a huge role in seeing these developments through.

Cllr Reilly thanked all the committee of the Cooley Kickhams GFC for their wonderful cooperation in this process.
