Introduction Welcome to the Dundee Science Festival 2014 schools programme. Now in its fifth year, Dundee Science Festival celebrates the contributions of science, technology, engineering and maths to the past, present and future of the city. Our events for schools are no different. Within this brochure you will find opportunities for teacher professional learning, for hands-on STEM experiences within the Broad General Education and Senior Phase, opportunities for interdisciplinary learning across Curriculum for Excellence and, most importantly, opportunities for learners to meet with and hear from professionals who are passionate about their subject and helping others to learn. From Dundee Science Centre and the Dundee Science Festival partnership of over 75 partners across the city, we invite you to join us during these two unique weeks.
